Outline

Battling the plummeting sales even after the launch of the Dark Edition, Citroen India has introduced the C3 CNG—a dealer-level retrofit option for the carmaker’s smallest offering in the market. We share all the changes it offers over the standard model along with the Citroen C3 CNG price, variants and mileage.

Citroen C3 CNG launched — Changes explained

Unlike its rivals like the Maruti Suzuki Fronx, Hyundai Exter and Tata Punch that come with factory-fitted CNG options, the Citroen C3 CNG offers dealer-level retrofitment. Citroen claims that the retrofitment equipment has been thoroughly tested and engineered exclusively for the C3 and comes with ample changes to streamline the overall ownership experience without any compromises.

Speaking of these changes, the Citroen C3 CNG comes with factory-engineered calibration of the fuel management system, reinforced rear suspension with different springs and anti-roll bar and CNG nozzle integrated within the petrol fuel cap assembly for ease of use. All these changes ensure a hassle-free experience for C3 CNG owners. Furthermore, Citroen also offers a warranty of 3-year/1,00,000km for the vehicle and CNG components, with the latter covered by Lovato.

Citroen C3 CNG mileage, variants and price

Coming to the Citroen C3 CNG mileage, the carmaker claims a fuel efficiency of 28.1kmpkg on the CNG mode, thereby reducing the running costs to Rs 2.66/km. Coming to the variants on offer, Citroen will offer the C3 CNG in four variants equipped with the 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine — Live, Feel, Feel (O) and Shine. All these variants command an additional premium of Rs 93,000 over the respective base prices.
