Kia has rolled out the Model Year 2026 update for the Carens Clavis EV, following the same approach seen on the ICE version. The update isn’t just a routine refresh. The EV lineup has been expanded with new GTX and GTX+ trims, now offered under both the GT Line and X-Line variants.
Along with the new trims, the feature list has also been revised, bringing in a few additions and tweaks to keep it competitive. Overall, this update feels more like a lineup reshuffle with meaningful additions rather than a simple cosmetic change.
2026 Kia Carens Clavis EV GT Line & X-Line
The MY26 Kia Carens Clavis EV lineup has been expanded with new GT-Line and X-Line trims for the Extended Range variant, available in both 6- and 7-seater configurations. Kia has also added a few meaningful tech upgrades. Digital Key and a battery heater are now offered on the GTX+ and X-Line variants, making day-to-day use a bit more convenient.

In terms of design, the two trims take slightly different directions. The GT-Line trims, GTX and GTX+ get sportier touches like a new alloy wheel design, lime brake callipers, and metal pedals.
The X-Line Extended Range, on the other hand, leans toward a darker, more premium look. It stands out with an exclusive Dark Gun Metal exterior shade, paired with Aurora Black Pearl.
Other trims of the 2026 Kia Carens Clavis EV receive updates
Beyond the GT-Line and X-Line additions, Kia has also made some practical updates to the standard trims. The MY26 Carens Clavis EV now gets a 6-seater layout with second-row captain seats, offered across trims like HTX (E), HTX, HTX+, GTX, GTX+, and X-Line. It’s a change driven by customer feedback.

There’s more personal space, and the cabin feels better suited for those who prefer a more relaxed, chauffeur-driven setup. If you still want the traditional layout, the 7-seater option continues on the GTX, GTX+, and X-Line trims. Kia has also tweaked the styling on the Standard Range variants. These now come with new 16-inch black high gloss aero alloy wheels.

The New Clavis EV GTX starts at Rs 22.99 lakh, which puts it right above the HTX ER (Rs 22.49 lakh). For roughly Rs 50,000 more, you step into the GT-Line styling and added features, making it a fairly logical upgrade if you’re already considering the Extended Range versions.
The 2026 Kia Clavis EV GTX+ is priced at Rs 24.99 lakh, sitting Rs 50,000 above the HTX+ ER. At this point, the gap remains consistent, but the value comes from the added tech like Digital Key and the battery heater, along with the sportier design elements.

The Clavis EV X-Line is also priced at Rs 24.99 lakh, matching the GTX+. Instead of adding more features, it offers a different character altogether with its darker styling and exclusive colour option. So the choice here comes down to preference rather than price. Another detail worth noting is that Kia has kept pricing identical for both 6- and 7-seater versions across these trims.
