Kia India has launched the Syros EV, its second mass-market electric vehicle, with prices starting at Rs 13.49 lakh (ex-showroom) for the 42 kWh variant and going up to Rs 19.99 lakh (ex-showroom) for the 51.4 kWh Extended Range version. The electric SUV will go on sale across Kia dealerships from July 30, 2026. Alongside the launch, Kia has introduced a comprehensive ownership package that includes an assured buyback programme, BaaS financing and a Lifetime High Voltage Battery Warranty.

The Syros EV is offered in seven trims spread across two battery pack options, with prices ranging from Rs 13,49,900 to Rs 19,99,900, ex-showroom.

Kia Syros EV exterior design & colour options
The Syros EV follows Kia's latest EV design language with several model-specific styling elements. It features Ice Cube MFR LED headlamps, Star Map LED DRLs, LED fog lamps, Kia's Digital Tiger Face, Star Map LED tail lamps, auto-flush door handles, 17-inch dual-tone aero alloy wheels, gloss black skid plates, roof rails and new side garnish designs.
The Syros EV is offered in nine exterior colours, including Glacier White Pearl, Frost Blue, Gravity Grey, Pewter Olive, Magma Red, Ivory Silver Matte, Ivory Silver Gloss and Aurora Black Pearl. The X-Line ER also gets an exclusive Matte Graphite finish. The cabin is available in Cloud Blue & Grey, Onyx Black & Off-White, and an exclusive Onyx Black & Hunter Green theme for selected variants.

Inside, the Syros EV gets a 30-inch Trinity Panoramic Display that combines a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, 12.3-inch touchscreen and 5-inch climate control display. Other highlights include Kia Connect 2.0, OTA updates, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a Harman Kardon 8-speaker sound system, wireless charging, ventilated front and rear seats, 4-way powered driver's seat, dual-pane panoramic sunroof, 64-colour ambient lighting, dual-camera dashcam, rear sunshades, 100W USB-C charging and a 16-litre front storage compartment (frunk).

Kia Syros EV safety features

The Syros EV comes with Level 2 ADAS offering 16 autonomous safety functions, including Forward Collision Avoidance Assist, Smart Cruise Control, Lane Keeping Assist and Lane Following Assist. It also features a 360-degree camera, Blind View Monitor, Parking Collision Avoidance Assist and front, rear and side parking sensors.
Standard safety equipment includes six airbags, ESC, Hill-start Assist, Brake Assist, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System, ISOFIX child seat mounts, Rear Occupant Alert and an electronic parking brake with Auto Hold.
Kia Syros EV battery, range and charging
The Kia Syros EV is offered with 42 kWh and 51.4 kWh battery packs. The 42 kWh version delivers an ARAI-certified range of 443 km (MIDC), while the 51.4 kWh Extended Range variant offers 526 km (MIDC), making it the first SUV in its segment to cross the 500 km mark. Both variants produce 171 PS and are built on Kia's reinforced K1 platform. The Extended Range model can sprint from 0 to 100 kmph in 8.1 seconds.
For charging, the Syros EV supports 100 kW DC fast charging, which can charge the battery from 10% to 80% in 39 minutes. It also supports 10.8 kW AC charging and comes with battery conditioning, an IP67-rated battery pack, and a liquid-cooled thermal management system to help maintain performance in different weather conditions.
Kia Syros EV ownership benefits
Kia is offering the Syros EV with a range of ownership benefits, including Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS), an Assured Buyback programme, a Lifetime High Voltage Battery Warranty, and the My Convenience e-Plus package.
Under the BaaS programme, the Syros EV can be purchased from Rs 7.99 lakh, with the battery financed separately through a subscription starting at Rs 3.3 per km. The Assured Buyback programme offers a resale value of up to 80% after three years, which Kia claims is the highest in the industry. Buyers can choose between 3-year and 4-year plans with different annual mileage limits. At the end of the tenure, they can keep, exchange or return the vehicle. The 80% buyback offer is available for customers who book the Syros EV within 60 days of launch.
Every Syros EV also comes with a Lifetime High Voltage Battery Warranty. The first owner gets 15 years of coverage with unlimited kilometres, provided the vehicle is not used commercially. For the second owner, the battery is covered for 8 years or 1.6 lakh km, whichever comes first. Kia has also introduced the My Convenience e-Plus package, which combines scheduled maintenance, extended warranty and roadside assistance. It is available in 4-year Premium and 5-year Luxury plans.
