Mahindra has hiked the price of the Scorpio Classic for the third time this year. The first increase came in February, followed by another in May, and now, there’s been one more. It’s a steady climb, and it’s definitely starting to pinch buyers’ wallets.
That said, this latest price bump only affects the S and S11 variants with the 7-seater setup. Other seating options in these trims haven’t been touched, so there’s a bit of relief there. Last time around, Mahindra raised the price of the 9-seater Scorpio S by Rs 13,000 but left the 7-seater (with side-facing seats) untouched. This time, it’s the other way around. The Classic S 7-seater (side-facing) variant saw a hike of Rs 14,999, while the 9-seater’s price remains the same.

It’s a similar story with the Mahindra Scorpio S11 variant. Back in May, the 7-seater with captain chairs (7CC) saw a price hike of Rs 21,999, while the side-facing (7SF) version wasn’t affected. This time, it’s the reverse, the 7SF has gone up by Rs 22,000, and the 7CC stays at its previous price. However, those who want to avoid the price hike can also consider exploring a used Mahindra Scorpio Classic from trusted sources.
Mahindra Scorpio Classic powertrain details
The Mahindra Scorpio Classic runs on a 2.2-litre diesel engine that puts out 132PS and 320Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox. But unlike the Scorpio N, this one doesn’t come with a 4WD option, so it’s strictly rear-wheel drive.
