The MG Astor new price list has finally been released, showing reductions of up to Rs 53,800 following the GST revision. Previously, the model was taxed at 45%, including cess, but the tax rate has now been cut to 40%. With the updated GST rates, the Astor base trim is now priced at Rs 9.65 lakh, while the top-end variant is available at Rs 15.16 lakh.

The MG Astor base variant, previously priced at nearly 10 lakh ex-showroom, is now available at Rs 9,65,000 following a reduction of Rs 34,800. Meanwhile, the Astor Shine MT has decreased by Rs 39,800, now priced at Rs 11,20,000. The Astor Select MT and Sharp Pro MT are priced at Rs 12,26,000 and Rs 13,26,000 ex-showroom respectively, each with a uniform price cut of Rs 43,800.

MG Astor CVT prices have dropped between Rs 47,800 and Rs 53,800 across the Select, Sharp Pro, and Savvy Pro trims. With this change, the ex-showroom price for the entry-level Astor CVT starts at Rs 13.42 lakh. The top trim now costs Rs 15.16 lakh.

The Astor now comes with a single option — a 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine that puts out 110PS of maximum power and 144Nm of peak torque. It can be had with either a 5-speed manual gearbox or a CVT.
