Tata Punch EV Facelift launched at Rs 6.49 lakh with BaaS — Prices, features, battery, and more

The Tata Punch EV facelift has launched in India, starting at Rs 9.69 lakh. Tata also offers a BaaS (Battery as a Service) scheme, bringing the upfront cost down to Rs 6.49 lakh. On the market, the Punch EV continues to compete with the Citroën eC3. It also offers an alternative to other EVs in its price segment, such as the Mahindra XUV 3XO EV, MG Windsor EV, and the Tata Nexon EV.

Tata Punch EV facelift exterior & colour options

The new Tata Punch EV gets subtle updates to its design. Up front, the vertically stacked LED headlamp cluster appears larger, and the lower bumper has been refreshed. The rear sees the most noticeable changes, with connected LED tail lamps similar to its ICE sibling. The lower bumper and silver skid plate have also been revised.

The side profile remains familiar, retaining the same silhouette and muscular stance. The colour options include Caramel, Bengal Rouge, Pure Grey, Fearless Yellow, Pristine White, Supernova Copper, and Empowered Oxide.

2026 Tata Punch EV interior & features

The Tata Punch EV facelift interior remains largely the same as the pre-facelift version. The layout is familiar, clean, and practical. What’s new is the white and grey dual-tone theme. On the features front, it now gets a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with updated graphics and a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and new window control buttons.

There’s wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, auto headlamps, a wireless charger, and three drive modes: Eco, City, and Sport. It also comes with ventilated front seats, automatic climate control, a voice-enabled electric sunroof, four regen modes via paddle shifters, an air purifier, and rain-sensing wipers, among others.

As for safety, the Punch EV facelift's safety features list includes six airbags, ABS with EBD, i-TPMS, an electronic parking brake with auto-hold, hill hold assist, electronic stability control, a 360-degree camera, front ISOFIX, high beam assist, and rear parking sensors.

2026 Tata Punch EV battery specs

The Tata Punch EV facelift now comes with two battery options: 30 kWh and 40 kWh. Both serve different kinds of buyers and the differences are clear. The 30 kWh version runs a single motor setup. It carries an ARAI-claimed range of 365 km. In real-world C75 conditions, expect closer to 270 km. 

The 40 kWh pack uses a front-mounted electric motor and claims an ARAI range of 468 km. Realistically, you’re looking at around 350 km in C75 conditions. Charging is quicker too, especially with the larger battery. Using a 65 kW DC fast charger, the 40 kWh pack can go from 20 to 80 per cent in just 26 minutes. Tata also claims a 135 km range top-up in 15 minutes. Performance has improved as well. The 0 to 100 kmph sprint now takes 9 seconds, down from 9.5 seconds earlier.

2026 Tata Punch EV Facelift prices

The new 2026 Tata Punch base price starts at Rs 9.69 lakh and goes up to Rs 12.59 lakh. These prices apply to the standard lineup without the BaaS scheme, across Smart, Smart+, Adventure, Empowered, and Empowered+ S trims. With the Baas option, the Punch facelift starts at Rs 6.49 lakh for the Smart variant. Under this model, the battery rental is charged at Rs 2.6 per km.
