2025 MG Windsor EV Pro launched – Price, range, features and more

Eight months after the MG Windsor EV launch in India, the British-Chinese carmaker has rolled out another version of the EV with a bigger battery pack and added features. Called the MG Windsor EV Pro, the new car comes with a claimed range of 449 kilometres on a single charge. Here’s everything you need to know about the 2025 MG Windsor EV pro including its price, range, features, and more.

New MG Windsor EV Pro price in India

The introductory MG Windsor Pro price in India has been announced as Rs 17.49 lakh (ex-showroom) for the first 8,000 customers. The Windsor EV Pro is based on the top-of-the-line Essence variant, and carries a premium of Rs 1.35 lakh over the variant with the smaller battery pack. The MG Windsor EV Pro with BaaS is available at Rs 12.49 lakh, plus Rs 4.5 for every kilometre driven. For the standard Windsor with BaaS, MG demands Rs 3.99 per kilometre.

MG Windsor EV Pro bookings

Bookings for the Windsor Pro shall commence on May 8, 2025, with delivery timelines yet to be confirmed. The carmaker is offering three years of warranty, three years of roadside support, and three services with no labour costs along with the car. There’s also a lifetime battery warranty for first owners, as well as an assured buyback of 60% after three years.

MG Windsor Pro range and battery pack

The Windsor EV Pro comes with a larger 52.9kWh battery pack that comes with prismatic cells. Claimed MG Windsor EV Pro range as per MIDC (Part I + Part II) stands at 449 kilometres, and the MG Windsor EV Pro real life range should be somewhere in the range of 390-420 kilometres. MG Windsor EV Pro charging time

As compared to the standard car, the Windsor Pro claims a faster 60kW charging support, with a claimed 20% to 80% time of 50 minutes. When charged via a 7.4kW AC charger, the claimed time stands at 9.5 hours.

MG Windsor EV Pro features

In addition to the features that are offered on the MG Windsor EV Essence variant, the Pro gets a powered tailgate, Level-2 ADAS functionalities such as forward collision warning and adaptive cruise control, as well as V2V and V2L capabilities. The interior comes in a dual-tone white and black theme.

MG Windsor EV Pro design 

The design of the car is identical to that of the standard Windsor, leave for the differently-styled alloy wheels and a few badges on the boot lid. The MG Windsor boot space has gone down from 604 litres to 579 litres, which does not sound much, on paper at least.
