Following the price hike in March 2025, Toyota India has hiked the prices of the Rumion MPV once again. Interestingly, this price hike comes ahead of the possible standard six airbags announcement that is expected for the Rumion soon. Toyota Rumion standard six airbags awaited
The Maruti Suzuki Ertiga—Rumion’s Japanese sibling—recently received the standard six airbags update along with a few new features. A similar update is also likely to be made available with the updated Rumion in the coming weeks. This price hike could be in turn a preparation in advance for bringing the new update, thereby giving a benefit of little to no price change, as and when the safety update is introduced.

The Toyota Rumion is powered by a 1.5L petrol engine and comes with either a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox. It is also available with a CNG powertrain, but only paired with the 5-speed manual. The Toyota Rumion mileage is claimed to be 20.11 km/l for the manual version, while the automatic version offers 20.51 km/l. The Toyota Rumion CNG mileage is claimed to be 26.11 km/kg.
