Maruti Suzuki has released the new Brezza facelift ARAI-certified fuel efficiency figures, covering its naturally aspirated petrol, new turbo-petrol, and CNG powertrain options. The updated compact SUV, priced from Rs 7.40 lakh, returns claimed fuel efficiency figures ranging from 19.96 kmpl to 26.90 km/kg depending on the specific engine and transmission combination chosen.

The CNG-powered Brezza continues to be the most efficient version in the line-up, with a claimed 26.90 km/kg. Among the petrol-only options, the naturally aspirated manual delivers the highest figure at 21.09 kmpl, while the new turbo-petrol manual returns up to 20.47 kmpl.

Engine specifications behind the numbers
The new 1.0-litre direct-injection turbo-petrol engine develops 110hp and 170Nm of torque. This engine returns 20.47 kmpl in the LXi and VXi trims, while the heavier ZXi and ZXi+ variants, which come with additional equipment, return a slightly lower 19.96 kmpl.
The existing 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, which produces 103hp and 139Nm, remains the most fuel-efficient petrol option in manual form, returning 21.09 kmpl on the LXi and VXi trims and 20.81 kmpl on the ZXi trim. When paired with the 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission, available on VXi, ZXi and ZXi+ trims, fuel efficiency comes in at 20.17 kmpl.
For CNG buyers, the 1.5-litre engine produces 88hp and 121.5Nm in CNG mode, while continuing to deliver its full 103hp and 139Nm output when running on petrol. This variant, offered in LXi, VXi and ZXi trims, is rated at 26.90 km/kg.

How this compares to the outgoing Brezza

Every powertrain in the 2026 Brezza shows a measurable improvement in claimed fuel efficiency compared to the previous model. The naturally aspirated petrol manual in LXi and VXi trims has moved up from 17.80 kmpl to 21.09 kmpl, a notable jump. The ZXi manual variant has improved from 19.89 kmpl to 20.81 kmpl, while automatic transmission variants now return 20.17 kmpl, up from 19.80 kmpl on the outgoing model.
The CNG variant has also become more efficient, with claimed fuel economy rising from 25.51 km/kg to 26.90 km/kg, continuing its position as the most economical way to run the Brezza.
