Volkswagen Virtus
For Volkswagen, the sedan is still on top of the pyramid, contributing to almost half of the carmaker’s sales in the country. It comes with two engine options — 1.0-litre TSI and 1.5-litre TSI. The Volkswagen Virtus rivals include Skoda Slavia, Honda City, Hyundai Verna and Maruti Suzuki Ciaz.
Volkswagen Taigun
The Taigun comes a close second to the Virtus, with the Virtus selling just 220 more units over the past 6 months. The Volkswagen Taigun has the same set of powertrains as the Volkswagen Virtus. The Volkswagen Taigun rivals include Skoda Kushaq, Honda Elevate, Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara and Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder.

Volkswagen Tiguan
The Volkswagen Tiguan is VW’s flagship SUV in India, with a starting price of Rs 35.16 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Tiguan comes equipped with a 2.0-litre TSI petrol engine paired to a 7-speed DSG. It comes in an AWD configuration and rivals such as Skoda Kodiaq, Toyota Fortuner, MG Gloster, Hyundai Tucson and the new Nissan X-Trail.
