BYD India has launched the Sealion 7 Festive Edition, a limited-run version of its electric SUV. It is based exclusively on the Sealion 7 Premium variant and priced at Rs 50.60 lakh (ex-showroom). Only 150 units will be sold.
BYD Sealion 7 Festive Edition — What'S new?
The BYD Sealion 7 Festive Edition gets a Tan and Black interior, while the standard variant comes with an all-black cabin. There are no other major visual changes. It retains the same features and specifications as the standard Premium variant. The launch is part of BYD India's festive campaign, “Celebrate Your Dreams with BYD”.
BYD Sealion 7 Festive Edition battery, power and range
The BYD Sealion 7 Festive Edition uses an 82.56 kWh Blade Battery. It produces 313PS of power and 380 Nm of torque, allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.7 seconds. The claimed driving range is 567 km on the NEDC cycle.
BYD Sealion 7 Festive Edition features and safety
The BYD Sealion 7 Festive Edition features a 15.6-inch intelligent rotating touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 10.25-inch digital instrument display, head-up display and wireless phone charger. Other features include keyless entry and start, automatic dual-zone heat pump air-conditioning, panoramic glass sunroof and automatic anti-dazzle interior rear-view mirror.
The driver’s seat gets 8-way power adjustment, 4-way power lumbar adjustment and power-adjustable leg rest. The front passenger seat has 6-way power adjustment, while both front seats are ventilated.
On the safety front, the SUV gets 11 airbags, front and rear parking sensors, 360-degree camera, ISOFIX child-seat mounts and electronic child locks. It also features an intelligent power brake system, electric power steering, traction control, electronic brakeforce distribution, hill-hold control and auto-hold. Driver assistance features include adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, and lane departure warning and prevention.

The Sealion 7 Festive Edition costs Rs 50.60 lakh (ex-showroom). The regular Sealion 7 Premium is listed at Rs 49.40 lakh on car portals, which would put the Festive Edition about Rs 1.20 lakh higher.
