Honda Cars India has launched the all-new ZR-V e:HEV, its new flagship hybrid SUV, at an introductory price of Rs 47.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The SUV is imported from Japan as a completely built unit (CBU) and marks the debut of Honda's e:HEV strong hybrid technology in a dedicated SUV for the Indian market. Deliveries of the ZR-V have also commenced across the country.
2026 Honda ZR-V exterior design & colour options
The Honda ZR-V features a sleek SUV design with a vertical-slat grille, full LED headlamps, LED daytime running lamps, and sequential LED turn indicators. It also gets front air curtains, a rear skid garnish, and 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels wrapped in 225/55 R18 tyres.
At the rear, the SUV comes with LED tail lamps, a body-coloured spoiler, and dual exhaust finishers. Other exterior highlights include body-coloured bumpers, side cladding, door handles, ORVMs with integrated LED indicators, and a shark-fin antenna. The ZR-V is offered in four exterior colours: Twilight Mist Black Pearl, Crystal Black Pearl, Meteoroid Gray Metallic, and Platinum White Pearl.
All-new Honda ZR-V Interior & features
The Honda ZR-V gets a premium cabin with black leather upholstery, soft-touch materials, metallic trim, and ambient lighting. The centre console features an electronic button-type gear selector, while the driver gets a leather-wrapped steering wheel.
The dashboard houses a 9-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, paired with a 10.2-inch fully digital instrument cluster. The SUV also comes with a 12-speaker Bose sound system, wireless phone charger, and USB Type-C charging ports for both front and rear passengers.
Comfort features include 8-way power-adjustable front seats with memory function for the driver, ventilated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, rear AC vents, and a power tailgate with hands-free opening. Other convenience features include keyless entry with push-button start, walk-away auto lock, auto rain-sensing wipers, tilt and telescopic steering adjustment, and auto engine start-stop.
Honda ZR-V safety features
The Honda ZR-V is built on Honda's Advanced Compatibility Engineering (ACE) body structure and comes equipped with 8 airbags, including front knee airbags. It also gets ISOFIX child seat mounts, 3-point seatbelts for all seats, all-wheel disc brakes, ABS with EBD, vehicle stability assist, traction control, hill start assist, hill descent control, an electric parking brake with auto hold, brake override system, emergency stop signal, and an acoustic vehicle alerting system (AVAS) for low-speed electric driving.
The SUV also features a 360-degree camera, front and rear parking sensors, a driver attention monitor, and an auto reverse-tilt passenger-side mirror. Honda has also equipped the ZR-V with its Honda SENSING ADAS suite. It includes collision mitigation braking, adaptive cruise control with low-speed follow, lane keeping assist, road departure mitigation, auto high beam, and lead vehicle departure notification.
New Honda ZR-V powertrain
The Honda ZR-V is powered by a 2.0-litre Atkinson-cycle petrol engine paired with an electric motor as part of Honda's e:HEV strong hybrid system. Together, the system produces a combined 184PS and 315Nm of torque. The hybrid setup uses a self-charging lithium-ion battery, meaning it does not require external charging.
Power is sent to the wheels through an e-CVT automatic transmission, enabling the SUV to accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 7.9 seconds. Honda claims an ARAI-certified fuel efficiency of 22.80 kmpl, and the engine is E20 fuel compatible. The e:HEV system automatically switches between EV Drive, Hybrid Drive, and Engine Drive depending on driving conditions to balance performance and efficiency. Drivers can also choose between Econ, Normal, and Sport drive modes.
Honda ZR-V genuine accessories
Honda is also offering a range of genuine accessories for the ZR-V. These include a body cover, floor mats, 3D boot mat, mud guards, and a branded keychain, allowing owners to add extra protection and a touch of personalisation.
