Ahead of the MG Majestor launch in india, the carmaker has taken a significant step in the Middle East by introducing the all-new MG Rakan. Interestingly, it is the first vehicle in the region to carry an Arabic name as an official model designation. The name comes from the Arabic word Rukn, meaning a pillar or foundation and a symbol of strength. MG chose it deliberately to reflect resilience, stability, and purpose, signalling that Rakan is built to endure both on and off the road.

MG Rakan is also MG’s first truly capable and dedicated 4x4 in the Middle East. East. Kuwait was the first market chosen to introduce it. Scroll down for a deeper look at the india bound MG Majestor debut, where we break down what makes this launch significant and what to expect from MG’s next chapter.

MG Rakan 4X4

The MG Rakan 4x4 is basically a reworked Gloster SUV, and in India, the MG Majestor is expected to follow the same formula as a Gloster facelift. Both the Rakan in the Middle East and the Majestor share much of the same design.

Up front, it features a bold black grille, slim DRLs, and vertically stacked headlamps, anchored by a thick silver skid plate. Recent teasers highlight these signature touches. At the rear, it carries “RAKAN” badging above a connected light bar, with another silver skid plate below the rear bumper. The overall silhouette remains true to the Gloster, while 19-inch machined alloy wheels and side cladding give the Majestor a tougher, more commanding stance.
