Car sales figures in India for the month of July 2025 are out, and the industry saw an overall 1.1% positive growth in sales when compared to the same period last year. Out of the fourteen major mass market manufacturers, eight saw a fall in sales, while six saw an increase. Here’s an analysis of the Indian car sales in July 2025, with both month-on-month and year-on-year comparisons.

Hyundai, Tata, Honda, and Nissan saw a significant drop in volumes. Skoda sold more than double the units it sold in the same month last year, with its growth mainly attributed to sales of the Kylaq. Citroen also sold 47.5% more cars, but its overall volumes remained insignificant. Mahindra and MG saw considerable growth.

When compared to the numbers from the previous month, the industry saw an overall 9.1% positive growth. Maruti Suzuki and MG saw significant growth, while things went downhill for Honda and Citroen. Rest of the manufacturers saw minimal movements in sales trends.
