Mahindra sales May 2025 — SUVs continue to steer growth!

Mahindra is one manufacturer that has been consistently reporting positive growth for both domestic and international sales over the past few months. The month of May was no different, with a 17.3% net year-on-year increase in sales. Here’s an analysis of the Mahindra Auto sales in May 2025 in India, with both month-on-month and year-on-year comparisons.

MoM and YoY analysis
Month-on-month growth remained constant for the Indian carmaker, with 60 less units sold in May 2025 as opposed to April 2025. While domestic sales slightly declined, exports saw a marginal increase. When compared to the same month last year, a handsome 17.3% net growth was recorded, with domestic sales rising by 16.6% and exports by 36.7%.
Mahindra passenger vehicle sales

Speaking of passenger vehicle sales in isolation, Mahindra sold 52,431 units in May 2025, which was 9,213 units more than what it did in the same period last year, translating to a growth of 21.3%.

Mahindra commercial vehicle sales

Commercial vehicle sales, including those of three-wheelers, grew from 25,793 units to 28,027 units, translating to a growth of 8.7%. Some segments saw positive growth, while some also witnessed a decline in sales.
