Outline

Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles has introduced a new consumer brand for its car business called TATA.CARS, along with the brand promise “Nothing’s Too Far.” The new identity brings Tata’s entire passenger vehicle range, including hatchbacks, sedans, SUVs and EVs, under one name. The aim is to give customers a more consistent brand experience across Tata’s car range.

Why Tata Motors chose the name TATA.CARS

TATA.CARS

The name comes from how many Indian customers already refer to their vehicles as a “Tata car”. Tata Motors has now turned that familiar phrase into its official consumer brand.

Mr. Shailesh Chandra, MD & CEO, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd, said:  "For decades, we have grown alongside India’s aspirations, helping make the future more accessible through meaningful innovation. From India’s first indigenous car to pioneering electric mobility and making safety mainstream, we have consistently challenged limits and expanded possibilities for millions of customers. Yet, we believe our boldest ambitions remain ahead of us.

Today, we proudly introduce TATA.CARS. More than a new brand identity, it is a declaration of intent for the future we envision. Anchored in the promise, ‘Nothing’s Too Far’, it conveys our belief that mobility should open doors, embrace possibilities and empower people to get closer to what matters most to them. As the world moves towards a more connected, intelligent and sustainable future, TATA.CARS will continue creating breakthrough products, experiences and ecosystems that help customers unlock new possibilities and pursue their ambitions without limits.”

What TATA.CARS covers and what changes for customers

TATA.CARS will act as the main consumer brand for Tata’s hatchbacks, sedans, SUVs, EVs and future mobility products. Customers will see the new TATA.CARS identity across digital platforms, dealerships, service centres and marketing material. The aim is to make the brand experience more consistent across buying, ownership and after-sales service.

TATA.CARS visual and brand identity system

The new identity is based on a design idea called “Parallel Pathways.” It takes inspiration from the lines in the Tata “T” logo and road markings. The idea is that every customer follows a different path, but all are moving forward. Tata has also introduced “Ambition Blue”, a new take on its blue colour. The identity includes a new typeface called “Parallel Display” and a dedicated sound identity for its audio and video content.

What stays the same under TATA.CARS

The new name does not change the legal or corporate structure of Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles. The company will continue to use Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd for regulatory filings, statutory work and investor communications.

The Tata badge on the cars also remains unchanged. Existing model names will continue as before, so products such as Tata’s SUVs, hatchbacks and EVs are not being renamed. In simple terms, TATA.CARS is a new consumer-facing brand placed above Tata’s existing car brands and products. It is not a complete change to the company or its vehicle lineup.
