

Toyota Camry, Vellfire recalled over combination meter issue — Check if your car's affected!

Toyota Kirloskar Motor has issued a voluntary recall of 1,906 units of the Vellfire MPV and 5 units of the Camry sedan over a potentially faulty combination meter. This comes as a part of a larger global recall, and isn’t limited to Indian-spec cars. Read more about the latest Toyota recall here.
Toyota combination meter issue

Toyota has recalled tens of thousands of cars globally over a software issue with the combination meter, which displays crucial information like the car’s speed, engine rpms, warning lights and indicators, and other such data. There’s a possibility of the system going black despite the car being started.

Vehicles affected
The vehicles affected by the recall include 1,906 units of the Toyota Vellfire manufactured between July 19, 2025 and May 19, 2025, and 5 units of the Toyota Camry manufactured between July 16, 2024 and August 1, 2024.
What to do if you own one of these Toyota cars?
Toyota India has said that its dealers will contact the owners of the affected cars and either reprogram or replace the combination meter. Alternatively, owners can contact their nearest dealership or Toyota’s customer care centre at 1800-309 0001.

Lexus LM, RX also affected

246 units of the Lexus LM 350h, which is essentially Lexus’ iteration of the Toyota Vellfire, manufactured between April 5, 2024 and January 29, 2025, along with 2 units of the Lexus RX crossover manufactured between June 25, 2024 and June 28, 2024 are also part of the same recall.
