Toyota Rumion now gets a new base trim called the E variant. It sits below the existing S, G, and V variants. Earlier, the S variant was the entry point in the lineup, priced at Rs 10.51 lakh. With the new E variant, the starting price drops by about Rs 95,500. The lower price also means some features have been trimmed compared to the S variant. The Rumion E variant comes with the same 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. It is offered only with a manual gearbox.

The 2026 Toyota Rumion E variant keeps the exterior simple but presentable. It gets halogen projector headlamps up front and LED tail lamps at the rear. Toyota has added a chrome surround to the front grille, along with a chrome finish on the front bumper to give it a bit more presence. The MPV rides on steel wheels with full wheel caps.

The 2026 Toyota Rumion E interior comes with dual-tone seats. The second row has 60:40 split seats with one-touch recline and slide, while the third row has 50:50 split seats with recline and folds flat for extra luggage space. It has a simple colour TFT MID showing a tachometer, gear shift indicator (MT), digital clock, fuel consumption, distance to empty, headlamp warning, and door-ajar warning.

Other features include manual front AC, twin cup holders, front 12V power socket with phone storage, power windows with driver auto-down, power and tilt steering, adjustable headrests for all rows, driver-side coin/ticket holder and sun visor with ticket holder, and front and rear cabin lamps.
New Toyota Rumion E safety features
The 2026 Toyota Rumion E comes with a good set of safety features. It has six airbags and ABS with EBD and Brake Assist. Stability and control are supported with ESP and Hill Hold. The engine immobiliser adds security, while ISOFIX child seat anchorages are provided in the second row.

Front seat belts come with pretensioners and force limiters, plus height adjustment. All seats have three-point ELR seat belts and a seat belt reminder with buzzer. The car also includes a high-speed alert system, speed-sensitive auto door locks, rear parking sensors, and central locking.

It is also available with a CNG powertrain, but only paired with the 5-speed manual. The Toyota Rumion mileage is claimed to be 20.11 km/l for the manual version, while the automatic version offers 20.51 km/l. The Toyota Rumion CNG mileage is claimed to be 26.11 km/kg.
