According to some leaks, Maruti and Toyota are teaming up to introduce a new mini SUV that is designed around the Vitara Brezza. Named the Toyota Urban Cruiser, this vehicle will fit perfectly into the current market. The sub 4-meter SUV will surely be a hit in the country given the popularity around the SUV and compact SUV segment. Under the hood of the Urban Cruiser sits a 1.5L petrol engine – the same one found on the Vitara Brezza. The engine will also come with a mild-hybrid option. In terms of transmission, the Urban Cruiser is expected to come with some form of manual as well as automatic gearboxes. So far, not must is known about the Urban Cruiser but Toyota is expected to launch the SUV sometime in September.

When you think of a Toyota car that knows how to perform, the Fortuner is a name that comes to mind immediately. Now, Toyota is ready to launch the facelifted variant sometime in October and it carried a lot of hype behind it. As of now, the new Fortuner has been unveiled in Thailand and we have got a lot of information from it. Powering the Fortuner 2021 will be a 2.7L petrol engine that can generate up to 166Ps of power and 245Nm of torque. There is also a 2.8L diesel engine option that is set to produce up to 204Ps of power and 500Nm of torque. Both engine options will be mated to either a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 6-speed automatic transmission. They will also come with rear-wheel-drive and four-wheel-drive options. Some of the upgraded Fortuner features include brand new LED headlamps and taillights, 18 or 20 inch wheels for the base and Legender variant respectively, 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, and a wireless charging pad for smartphones and other devices.

Originally unveiled in 2018, the Toyota Corolla 2020 will be the twelfth generation of the sedan. The Corolla was first launched in China and USA and it seems like the Chinese variant will be arriving in the country. In terms of looks, the Corolla heading to India is set to have a new front grille with horizontal slats. The fog lamps are also set to get an upgrade with a circular design rather than the strips seen on the US model. The standard Corolla is powered by a 1.8L petrol engine that generates 139Ps of power while the 2.0L petrol model will produce 169Ps of power. Given the requirements today, the engines found on the new Corolla will be BSVI-compliant. In terms of transmission, the new Corolla is set to be mated to either a 6-speed manual or a CVT automatic option. According to the news, the upcoming Corolla will be available as a sedan or a hatchback model which will be a useful choice for interested buyers in the country.

The Toyota C-HR hybrid SUV is set to be launched mid-2021 and could give interested buyers exactly what they’re looking for. From what the company has already released, the car will come with a plethora of features – both inside and outside – that help the C-HR stand out from the rest. It will include a powerful 1.8L petrol engine along with an electric motor for automatic transmission. The car is also said to have automatic LED headlights, vehicle stability control, 6-speed automatic, and 6-speed manual transmissions along with a CVT gearbox. Some of the other features include powered OVRMs, wide contoured doors, LED rear lights, a JBL audio system, dual-zone air conditioning, and a push-button operated tailgate.
