BMW India has officially launched the all-new M440i xDrive Convertible at Rs 1.09 crore (ex-showroom). It is sold as a CBU import, meaning it attracts higher import duties, which is reflected in the price. It is a brand's most accessible open-top offering in the country.

It is a fully equipped, street-ready grand tourer with a six-cylinder M-tuned engine, all-wheel drive, and a soft-top roof that can fold away in 18 seconds.  Here is everything you need to know about the 2026 BMW M440i xDrive Convertible design, cabin, performance, safety, price, and rivals.

The BMW M440i Convertible shares its design with the BMW 4 Series Coupe, with the key difference being the folding roof. At the front, it features slim LED headlights and a large black BMW kidney grille. The rear has a black M diffuser and CSL-style tail lights inspired by the BMW M4 CSL. It rides on 19-inch alloy wheels and is available in multiple colour options.

The main highlight is the soft-top roof. It opens or closes electrically in about 18 seconds and can be operated at speeds of up to 50 km/h. The new M440i Convertible is offered in eight colours: Portimao Blue, Brooklyn Grey, Cape York Green, Fire Red, Arctic Race Blue, Black Sapphire, Mineral White, and Alpine White.
