- 2Majestor is expected to be taller, wider, and longer than the Toyota Fortuner
- 3It is expected to feature a 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engine with 4WD
The upcoming MG Majestor launch date has now been officially confirmed through the brand’s first teaser. The Majestor will sit in the D+ Segment and, at launch, will be positioned above the MG Gloster as a more premium option.
That said, MG isn’t trying to replace anything here. The brand has been clear that even after the Majestor arrives, the MG Gloster will continue to serve its own segment, just as it does today. Scroll on as we break down the key highlights and what MG plans to bring to the table when the 2026 MG Majestor India launch finally happens.
How the MG Majestor will look — bold, premium, and Gloster-inspired?

At the 2025 Bharat Mobility Expo, MG India showcased the MG Majestor in public for the first time giving a clear look at its design direction. Up front, the SUV gets a chunky black grille, flanked by slim DRLs and vertically stacked headlamps. A thick silver underbody skid plate sits low. The recent teaser only reaffirms these design cues.
Around the back, the MG Majestor carries Morris Garages' badging above a connected light bar, along with another silver underbody skid plate. The overall silhouette remains identical to the Gloster, which makes the differences feel deliberate rather than dramatic. Riding on 19-inch machined alloy wheels with side body cladding, the Majestor leans into a tougher, more imposing SUV presence.
2026 MG Majestor dimensions — Compares with the Fortuner
On Indian roads, the biggest rival the MG Majestor will face is the Toyota Fortuner, a model that has long dominated this segment. The Fortuner measures 4,795 mm in length, 1,855 mm in width, and 1,835 mm in height, with a 2,745 mm wheelbase.
MG has already hinted at where the Majestor is headed. The brand has stated that the upcoming MG Majestor dimension will set new benchmarks as the tallest, widest, and longest vehicle in its class, suggesting a noticeable step up in size over existing rivals.

If MG follows the international-spec model sold in markets like Saudi Arabia, where it’s known as the D90 Max, the Majestor could measure 5,046 mm in length, 2,016 mm in width, and 1,876 mm in height, with a 2,950 mm wheelbase. Compared to the Fortuner, that would make the Majestor roughly 250 mm longer, about 160 mm wider, 40 mm taller, and nearly 205 mm longer in wheelbase. On paper at least, that’s a clear size advantage.

MG Majestor interior and features — what to expect?
While expectations are high for the MG Majestor interior, a fully confirmed look is still awaited. That said, MG’s recent track record and market trends make it clear what direction this SUV is likely to take. The feature list is expected to be extensive, with highlights including a 12.3-inch infotainment screen, digital driver display, dual wireless chargers, a large panoramic sunroof, 12 speaker audio system, ambient lighting, ventilated seats, and a massage function. More additions are likely as the launch gets closer.
Safety is also expected to be a strong focus. The MG Majestor is likely to come equipped with a comprehensive set of safety features along with a Level 2 ADAS suite.
2026 MG Majestor engine

While MG has stayed quiet about the full specifications, the Majestor is expected to carry over the same 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engine found in the Gloster. Alongside this powertrain, it’s likely to offer a capable 4WD system with multiple terrain modes.

MG Majestor launch date confirmed
The MG Majestor launch has been confirmed for 12th February. It’s expected that bookings could open on the same day, with deliveries likely to begin shortly after, though exact dates will be clarified at launch.
Upcoming MG Majestor price expectations

The MG Gloster will continue in the lineup, while the Majestor takes the more premium position above it. Currently, the Gloster is priced between Rs 38.33 lakh and Rs 42.49 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi). Given this, it’s reasonable to expect that the Majestor will start above Rs 40 lakh ex-showroom.
