On January 21, what many expected to be the cover-off event for the Nissan Gravite didn’t happen. The carmaker decided to postpone the launch of its seven-seater Gravite MPV. The brand hasn’t officially explained why but it’s likely they’re taking extra time to finalise things before going public. The Nissan gravite new launch date is expected to be confirmed soon.
Even with the launch on hold, new information keeps coming in. The latest teaser on the brand’s social channels revealed the Nissan Gravite colour options, showing the MPV will be available in five shades.
Upcoming Nissan Gravite colour option

The upcoming Nissan Gravite colours revealed in the teaser are confirmed to be teal, white, silver, black, and grey. On the dimensions front, the Gravite is expected to measure around 3990mm in length, 1739mm in width, and 1643mm in height, riding on a 2636mm wheelbase. That positions it as a compact yet spacious seven-seater with enough room for passengers without feeling oversized for city driving.

Positioned below the Nissan Magnite, the Gravite will share the CMF A+ platform with the Renault Triber. This isn’t just about cost-saving, using a proven platform means Nissan can offer a balance of interior space, ride comfort and handling.

2026 Nissan Gravite engine specs

The Nissan Gravite will be powered by a 1.0L petrol engine, offered with either a 5-speed manual or an AMT gearbox. Sharing its platform with the Renault Triber, this engine is expected to deliver 72PS of power at 6,250 rpm and 96Nm of torque at 3,500 rpm.

Thanks to the shared platform and similar core mechanics, Gravite’s fuel efficiency is also expected to mirror the Triber's. The manual version is likely to return around 20kmpl, while the AMT is expected to manage about 17kmpl.

Nissan Gravite unveil date, price, & Showroom arrival

The Nissan Gravite launch date has been postponed and a new date is yet to be revealed. This matters because, according to the brand’s strategy, the three-row MPV was meant to launch first, followed by the global debut of the Nissan Tekton on February 4. With the Gravite’s schedule now pushed back, that carefully planned sequence is disrupted.
This jumble of dates affects the brand’s overall timing. The first confirmed launch date is already off the table, which could also impact the promise of having the MPV in showrooms by March. At this point, it’s still unclear whether the Tekton will make its debut first or if the Gravite will take priority once the revised schedule is announced.
