Nissan Magnite and Gravite are available on lease starting at Rs 9399 per month — Here is everything you need to know
- 1Lease starts at Rs 9399 per month (excluding taxes)
- 2Available on both the Nissan Magnite and the new Nissan Gravite
- 3Plan targets corporates looking for flexible asset-light mobility solutions
Nissan India has tied up with Avis India to bring a structured leasing programme for its two current models — the Magnite SUV and the newly launched Gravite MPV. Rentals start at Rs 9399 per month and the plan is clearly aimed at corporate customers who want a car without the hassle of owning one. Here is a closer look at what this means, how the two cars compare and whether this kind of deal makes sense for you.
What Nissan and Avis India are actually offering

This tie-up between Nissan Motor India and Avis India is a leasing arrangement, not a purchase. The car isn’t owned. A fixed monthly rental is paid for a set period, and the vehicle is returned at the end. Simple structure, no long-term ownership involved.
The lease runs up to 60 months, with a cap of 50,000 km. Rentals start at Rs 9,399 plus taxes, and increase depending on the variant selected. What makes this setup easier than a traditional car loan is the reduced responsibility. Avis takes care of registration, insurance, servicing, and end-of-term processes. For businesses that need vehicles but don’t want the added layer of managing them, this keeps things clean and predictable.
From Nissan’s side, this move signals a longer-term focus on the Indian market and a push toward more flexible mobility options for corporate buyers. Avis is looking at scale here, building a system that works efficiently for companies managing multiple vehicles without unnecessary complexity.
Nissan Gravite — the newer of the two and probably the lease highlight
| Variant | Transmission | Ex-showroom price (approx) |
|---|---|---|
| Visia | 5-speed MT | Rs 5.65 lakh |
| Acenta | 5-speed MT | Rs 6.49 lakh |
| N-Connecta | 5-speed MT | Rs 7.49 lakh |
| Tekna | 5-speed MT | Rs 7.99 lakh |
| Tekna | 5-speed AMT (EZ-Shift) | Rs 8.36 lakh |
| Tekna Launch Edition | AMT | Rs 8.94 lakh |
The Gravite is a sub-4-metre seven-seater MPV that Nissan launched in February 2026. It sits on the CMF-A+ platform that also underpins the Renault Triber, which effectively makes it a badge-engineered sibling with distinct Nissan design elements.
Do not let the shared platform put you off. Nissan has given the Gravite its own face with a honeycomb V-Motion grille, C-shaped LED DRLs and fresh bumpers at both ends. Inside, it gets a dual-tone dashboard, leatherette upholstery and a modern layout designed around practicality.
Nissan Gravite engine

The Nissan Gravite uses the same 1.0-litre, naturally aspirated three-cylinder petrol engine as the Renault Triber. This engine produces 72 hp and 96 Nm of torque, and is paired with either a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 5-speed AMT. Claimed ARAI mileage is around 19.3 kmpl for the manual and 19.6 kmpl for the AMT.
Nissan Magnite — the workhorse that kept the brand alive
| Variant | Engine | Transmission | Ex-showroom price (approx) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Visia | 1.0L NA Petrol | 5-speed MT | Rs 5.62 lakh |
| Visia+ | 1.0L NA Petrol | 5-speed MT | Rs 6.07 lakh |
| Acenta | 1.0L NA Petrol | 5-speed MT | Rs 6.85 lakh |
| N-Connecta | 1.0L NA Petrol | 5-speed MT/AMT | Rs 7.49 – 7.99 lakh |
| Tekna | 1.0L Turbo Petrol | 5-speed MT | Rs 8.49 lakh |
| Tekna+ | 1.0L Turbo Petrol | CVT | Rs 10.76 lakh |
The Magnite has been around since 2020 and has quietly become one of the better value propositions in the compact SUV space. It competes against the Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Maruti Brezza and Kia Sonet but comes in at a lower price than all of them in base form.
A facelift added a revised grille, new L-shaped LED DRLs, updated taillights and refreshed interiors. The Magnite secured a 5-star Global NCAP rating when tested for the South African market in 2025 with six airbags and ESC as standard.
Nissan Magnite key specs
The Nissan Magnite comes with two engine options. A 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol with 72 PS and 96 Nm, and a 1.0-litre turbo petrol with 100 PS and 160 Nm. Gearbox choices include a 5-speed manual, a 5-speed AMT, and a CVT with the turbo. Mileage ranges between 17.9 kmpl and 19.7 kmpl, depending on the variant and gearbox.
Should you consider leasing instead of buying
For most individuals, a straightforward car loan still makes more sense because you end up owning the asset. But for businesses, leasing has some clear practical advantages. There is no large capital outlay upfront. The cost is predictable every month. Everything from insurance to maintenance is handled. At the end of the tenure you simply return the car and can upgrade to a newer model. There are also potential accounting and tax benefits for businesses when they treat vehicle usage as an operational expense rather than an asset on the books.
The Rs 9399 starting rental is genuinely competitive. A Magnite EMI on a standard car loan starts at roughly Rs 8200 per month but that figure does not include insurance, maintenance or registration costs that you handle yourself. When you factor in those expenses the all-in monthly cost of ownership comes reasonably close to the lease rental — without the operational overhead.
For salaried employees whose companies are considering this programme the appeal is even simpler. You get a car to use, in good condition, without worrying about servicing schedules or insurance renewals.
