Toyota Urban Cruiser Ebella launched in India at Rs 23.60 lakh — Details inside!

Toyota has officially announced the price of the Toyota Urban Cruiser Ebella, its first all-electric vehicle for the Indian market. The top-spec E3 variant is priced at Rs 23.60 lakh, while prices for the E1 and E2 variants are still awaited. The E3 comes equipped with a 61 kWh lithium iron-phosphate battery pack.

The Urban Cruiser Ebella enters India’s mid-size electric SUV segment, where it will compete with models like the Mahindra BE 6, Tata Curvv EV, MG ZS EV, Hyundai Creta Electric, and Maruti Suzuki e Vitara.

Toyota has started the Toyota Urban Cruiser Ebella lineup with only the fully loaded E3 variant for now, while prices for the lower E1 and E2 trims are still awaited. The E3 uses a 61 kWh lithium iron-phosphate battery pack paired with a front-mounted electric motor producing 172 hp and 193 Nm. Toyota claims a range of 543 km under test conditions.

The Ebella shares its platform, battery technology, and drivetrain with the Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara and is manufactured at Suzuki Motor Gujarat’s plant. However, Toyota has positioned the Ebella as the more premium option. The top-spec e Vitara is priced around Rs 20 lakh, while the Ebella E3 comes in at Rs 23.60 lakh. Along with the Toyota badge, the higher pricing also brings a fully loaded feature list, Toyota’s aftersales support, and a more premium ownership experience.

New Toyota Ebella features and cabin experience

Inside, the Toyota Urban Cruiser Ebella gets a dual-screen setup with a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto come as standard.

The cabin features dual-tone upholstery, ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, a JBL sound system, ambient lighting with 12 colour options, and a wireless charger. Rear seats can slide and recline, and also get a 40:20:40 split-folding setup for added practicality. Toyota has also given the Ebella a two-spoke squircle steering wheel and a rotary-style gear selector. A floating centre console further adds to the modern cabin layout.

2026 Toyota Ebella safety & tech

The Toyota Urban Cruiser Ebella comes with Level 2 ADAS as standard, including adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, autonomous emergency braking, and rear cross-traffic alert. It also gets seven SRS airbags, a 360-degree camera, and a high-tensile steel body structure.

Toyota has also equipped the Ebella with a battery thermal management system and an aerodynamic underbody design to improve battery protection and efficiency. For connectivity, Toyota’s i-Connect platform allows owners to monitor charging status, schedule charging sessions, check battery health, and remotely control functions like the AC, door locks, and windows. The Smart Playcast ProEV app also supports audio control through a smartphone.

Ownership package and service network

Toyota is backing the Ebella with an 8-year battery warranty and an assured buyback programme that promises 60 percent of the vehicle's value after three years. Battery-as-a-Service is available, though detailed BaaS pricing has not been announced yet. The company claims over 500 BEV-enabled service touchpoints across more than 900 cities pan-India, supported by 2,500 EV-trained technicians. Express maintenance in 45 minutes and 24x7 roadside assistance are also part of the package.
