Being an EV, the Mustang Mach-E is expected to quickly gain popularity in India and will have some tough competition to go up against. However, being an EV has not stopped Ford from designing Mach-E like a total beast. The body sports sharp lines and aggressive angles to give it a sporty-muscle look. Powering the Mach-E will either be a 68kWh battery pack for the Standard Range or an 88kWh pack for the Extended Range variant. The range for the Standard and Extended variants on a single Rear-Wheel-Drive is expected to be 370 kms and 483 kms respectively. There will also be an e-All-Wheel-Drive option for both battery packs with an expected range of 340 kms for the Standard and 435 kms for the Extended variants. The electric motors with the Standard battery pack generate 270Ps of power and 430Nm of torque on Rear-Wheel-Drive and 270Ps of power and 580Nm of torque on e-All-Wheel-Drive. Moving onto the Extended battery pack, the electric motors produce 294Ps of power and 430Nm of torque on RWD and 294Ps of power, and 351Nm of torque on e-AWD. For those looking for a little extra, Ford could also introduce a performance-centric variant called the Mach-E GT. If this powerful SUV makes it to Indian stores, it will most likely come with an 88kWh battery pack with an e-AWD setup. It will generate 487Ps of power and 813Nm of torque and is expected to go from 0-96 kmph in just 3.8 seconds. In terms of range, the Mach-E GT is expected to offer 435 kms. Now, inside the Mach-E, Ford is expected to offer their signature 15.5-inch vertical central touchscreen display for controlling everything in the vehicle. There is also a 10.2-inch screen on the driver’s side that will display all the information for the driver. The 5-seater E-SUV is also expected to come with a 360-degree parking camera, a panoramic sunroof, LED headlamps, automatic climate control, and a stereo surround audio setup. We can also expect the Mach-E to come with some of the latest safety features including ISOFIX Child Seat Anchors, multiple airbags, collision alert, ABS with EBD, and lane-keep assist.

Mahindra showcased the XUV300 Electric at the Auto Expo 2020 and it seems to be a huge hit in the EV segment. Compared to the regular SUV, the XUV300 Electric looks quite different with a blocked-off front grille and slight upgrades to its design. The headlamps and bumpers have been redesigned to match the modern look of the eSUV. Inside, the XUV300 Electric is more or less the same as the regular variant, however, the touchscreen infotainment system is now in the middle. With MG already making a name in the Indian market with the powerful Hector and Hector Plus SUVs, there is surely a promising future for the brand in the country. MG and Baojun are brands that fall under the SAIC umbrella which is why the Hector can be found under the name Baojun 530 in many countries outside India. Given the fact that they share so much, the Baojun 510 is designed almost identically to the Hector, however, it is a little smaller in size. Powering the Baojun 510 will be a 1.5L In-Line S-TEC III petrol engine that will generate 115Ps of power and 146Nm of torque. The SUV will be mated to a 6-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed automatic gearbox as an option. Even though the Baojun 510 was first announced back in 2016, it is only just about to be released and launched in India. In terms of features, the Baojun 510 carries the same “Future Eye” LED DRLs found on the Hector which gives the car an aggressive look. There is also a twin-light arrangement of the headlamps which looks exactly like what is found on the Hector. Inside, the Baojun 510 features a dual-tone, black, and light-brown colour scheme which actually gives it a rich look. Safety is MG’s primary concern which is why the Baojun 510 comes with airbags in the front and side, a dynamic stability control system, ABS with EBD, and parking cameras in the rear. If technology is what you’re after, MG supplies a lot, and the Baojun 510 features it with style. There is an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, automatic climate control, push-button ignition, auto cruise, keyless entry, and a semi-open panoramic sunroof.

Expected to launch with a price tag of about Rs. 1.50 Crore, the sixth-gen Land Cruiser might just put an SUV-sized hole in your wallet. Nevertheless, there is a lot of offer and we can’t wait for the Land Cruiser to hit Indian soil. Powering the monster SUV will either be a 3.5L Twin-Turbo V6 petrol engine that will generate 415Ps of power and 650Nm of torque or a 3.3L Twin-Turbo V6 diesel engine that will produce 309Ps of power and 700Nm of torque. The automotive industry in India has been developing rapidly and Tata has been leading the race to create a cleaner world. Electric Vehicles or EVs are soon going to be a huge part of our future and the Tata Tiago EV seems like a great way to get there. Powering this car is a massive 21.5kWh Lithium-Ion battery that offers an impressive 213 kms range on a single charge. Charging the battery to 100 percent takes about 6-8 hours while there are also fast charge capabilities that reduce that time to just 1.5 hours. As of now, not much is known about the Tiago EV other than Tata is expected to launch the model sometime this December. We can expect the Tiago to mirror many of the features of the recently launched Tigor EV.

Back in 2018, Hyundai unveiled the Ioniq electric and hybrid models which took the world by storm. Later, Hyundai also showcased a plug-in hybrid variant which will most likely not make its appearance in India. As of the latest news, only the electric variant will be brought to India and will be one of the best options in the segment. Hyundai has fitted a decent 28kWh Lithium-Ion battery into the Ioniq which is expected to charge from 0-100 percent in about 9-10 hours. However, Hyundai will also include a quick charge option that will significantly reduce the charge time to about 4-5 hours. When the Ioniq’s battery is completely charged, it is expected to have a maximum range of 280 Kms which is rather impressive. In terms of design, the Ioniq electric car will come with a hexagonal grille that will give it a sleek, sharp look. The LED headlamps and LED DRLs will keep the Ioniq updated. The use of aluminum in the boot lid will make the Ioniq up to 25 percent lighter than some of the other Hyundai cars available today. In the features department, the Ioniq will come with a 7-inch instrument cluster as well as a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Safety will be a major attraction for the Ioniq with 7 airbags, adaptive cruise control, autonomous braking, lane change assist, and blind-spot detection.
