Rejoice, car buyers in India, as this month will be a breath of fresh air for the Indian automotive industry. The month of July will see a number of upcoming SUV and car launches in India. Various brands have planned the launch of their respective new vehicles for this month, and we’re here to help you keep an eye on all of them. Looks like it is going to rain brand new SUVs this monsoon season!
Here’s a list of all the upcoming cars and SUVs launching in July 2021 in India.
The automaker from India, Tata Motors, has expanded the Dark Edition line-up which began with the Harrier SUV. The expansion in the Dark Edition will be done by the launch of Dark Edition Altros, Nexon, and the Nexon EV. The new edition will feature the black outside as well as all-black interior too, with all-black upholstery, trims, and wheels! The changes, however, are aesthetics only and no performance upgrades. The variants are expected to be launched at a price a bit higher, around Rs. 15-45k upwards of the existing models.
The luxury brand in the auto industry in India, Mercedes, is also planning to launch the Mercedes-AMG E53 and E63 S on July 15, 2021. The new car from Mercedes will be competing against the BMW M5 in India. With the E53 sedan launch, it will serve as a new entry-level variant in the E-class AMG models by Mercedes. It will run on a 3.0 litre, inline-6, twin-turbo petrol engine, and a 48V hybrid system. The E63 S will be powered by a 4.0 litre V8 twin-turbo that produces 603 horsepower and 627 lb-ft of torque. Talk about power, huh?
The powerful Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo Omologata (STO) is ready to take on the Indian roads and is scheduled to launch on the 15th of July. The car is track-focused with downforce. The Huracan STO can go 0-100 km/h in mere 3 seconds. If that doesn’t scream immense power, we don’t know what would. The new powerhouse comes with a 5.0 litre V10 engine producing 631 BHP and 565 Nm that drives the rear wheels with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.
Mahindra has launched the all-new Bolero Neo SUV. However, if it truly is “new,” is up for debate! The Bolero Neo is styled after the TUV300, which was discontinued due to the whole BS6 transition move and sales in particular. While it is essentially the updated version of the legendary Bolero SUV, we can’t deny the fact it looks like the facelifted version of the TUV.
The Bolero Neo rocks a brand new front fascia, sleeker headlamps, and grille, as well as an updated front bumper. Apart from the exterior updates, the interior boasts a new upholstery, a new steering wheel, and an instrument console. At heart, the Bolero Neo remains the same as the TUV300, with the only exception of a 1.5litre three-cylinder diesel engine, in line with the new BS6 emission norms.
Mahindra Bolero Neo price starts from Rs. 8.48 Lakhs (ex-showroom).
Audi’s much-hyped electric offerings, anticipated by novices and experts alike, e-tron SUV and e-tron Sportback are all set to enter the market by the end of this month. Audi’s first all-electric offerings will be launched on July 22nd and have already set hearts in motion with their plethora of fantastic features. It is said to rival the likes of the Jaguar I-pace and Mercedes-Benz EQC. Both of them come with a dual-motor setup, a 95kWh battery that produces 360hp and 561 Nm, with an additional boost function, increasing output to 408hp and 664Nm!
These couple of months have turned out to be quite eventful for the luxury car manufacturer. Last month, Jaguar launched the F-Pace facelift, and this month, they are updating it to be a more performance-focused version of the same. Christened the F-Pace SVR, it will get a multitude of exterior changes as well as updated interiors. It is powered by a 5.0 litre supercharged V8 petrol engine and an 8-speed automatic gearbox. The hype around this beauty is so much that Jaguar has already opened bookings for the car in India. It comes equipped with upgraded suspension and steering, recalibrated brakes, and the choicest of revisions.
