The insanely popular Volkswagen Empire’s Czech wing, Skoda, entered the Indian market way back in 2002. After the launch of its first car – the Skoda Octavia, the company manufactured other classy makes like the Superb, Slavia, Kodiaq, and Kushaq.
In 2023, Skoda plans to launch three new cars within the first six months. The Czech maker’s launch lineup also includes an EV that is all set to compete with rivals like Tata, Hyundai, and Kia.
Let’s have a quick look at what Skoda has to offer car enthusiasts this year!
Skoda is gearing up for the launch of its first electric SUV, the Enyaq iV. This EV features a sharp, stylish body, spacious interior, and impressive technology like intelligent driver assistance systems, a digital cockpit, wireless charging, and a new-gen infotainment system.
The Enyaq iV is built for ultimate comfort and convenience. It comes with an electric tailgate, a net system in the boot for keeping equipment, and the latest traffic assistance software that helps you navigate through busy city traffic or even during a road trip.
This EV comes with two battery pack options, 62 kWh and 82 kWh. It also promises an impressive driving range of 529 km, making it ideal for long hauls.
Expected Ex-Showroom Price : ₹60 lakhs
Expected Launch : January 25, 2023
|Maximum Power||265 bhp|
|Maximum Torque||458 Nm|
|Battery||62 kWh, 82 kWh|
A Skoda sedan is never short of impressive and highly praiseworthy. 2023 will see the release of Skoda’s hybrid sedan, the all-new Octavia RS iV, an interesting blend of ICE and EV.
The updated Octavia model will sport larger exhaust tips, a black grille, a minimalistic boot lid spoiler, sporty wheels and bumpers, and the iconic RS badges. This elegant sedan will be powered by a motor fitted with a 13 kWh battery pack.
This energy-efficient model is also expected to travel a minimum of 62 km solely on electric power on a full charge. Thus, you can rely on it for both city and outstation use. With the lack of hybrid vehicles in the Indian market, the new Octavia RS iV might just be the ride you need!

|Maximum Power||116 bhp (electric configuration)|
|Maximum Torque||400 Nm (electric configuration)|

Skoda in India is a gift that keeps giving. The already popular Skoda Rapid is expected to return to the market in 2023 with an all-new, updated design. Its compact frame makes it one of the best mid-size sedans that offer comfort with premium features.
The all-new Rapid is set to sport the classic Skoda grille, higher LED headlights, a wider boot, and a comparatively bolder look. This car will come with a 6-speed manual transmission and quicker acceleration (12 seconds to 100 km/ph).
The New Rapid will also feature a host of safety features like Electronic Stability Control, Partonic Rear Parking Sensors, Hill Hold Control, and sophisticated airbags. The Skoda Rapid remains a popular choice if you’re looking for a sedan that promises both performance and sustainability.
