2025 Kia Clavis teased ahead of launch — Carens facelift with ADAS

Kia India is all set to update the Carens MPV with a fresh variant introduction named the Clavis. The new 2025 Kia Clavis features an updated modern design, which is in line with the new Kia cars, including the Syros. 2025 Kia Clavis teased

Kia India has dropped the first teaser of the Clavis MPV, which is all set to make its global debut on May 8, 2025. On the design front, the new Kia Clavis features an all-new face, featuring tri-beam LED headlights along with arrow-shaped LED DRLs, lending it a bold stance. Though not clear in the teaser video, earlier spy shots have revealed new machined dual-tone alloy wheels, which are likely to be a size bigger than the standard Carens and connected LED tail lights at the rear.

2025 Kia Clavis to offer panoramic sunroof, ADAS

The new teaser shared by Kia India confirms two important Kia Clavis features — a panoramic sunroof and ADAS. The new teaser flaunts the dual-pane panoramic sunroof of the new Clavis and also showcases the ADAS in action, in the form of collision warning as a Viking mysteriously stands in its way—a part of Clavis’ marketing strategy. Furthermore, the Kia Clavis is likely to offer features such as an updated touchscreen infotainment system, powered driver’s seat, front ventilated seats, captain chairs in the second row with ventilation and roof-mounted AC vents.

2025 Kia Clavis engine options

The upcoming 2025 Kia Clavis engine options are likely to be the same as the Carens. However, since the Clavis is likely to be offered in the higher grades only, we expect two engine options — a 115PS 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel engine with a 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmission and a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine with a 6-speed iMT and 7-speed DCT. 

2025 Kia Clavis launch date

As per our sources, the 2025 Kia Clavis launch is scheduled for June 2, 2025, while the model will be officially revealed a bit earlier on May 8, 2025. The new Clavis is expected to be positioned as a premium version of the Carens and the same will also reflect in its pricing. As a result, Kia India is likely to keep the Carens on sale without any major changes for the model year 2025.
