MG Hector Plus price hike in July 2025 – Big blow or barely a dent?

Alongside its siblings—the MG Comet EV, Astor, and the 5‑seater Hector—the MG Hector Plus price has also seen an upward revision of up to Rs 30,400. From the base to the top trims, in both 6‑seater and 7‑seater configurations, none escaped the hike.
That said, there’s a small silver lining: not every trim took a full hit—the Select variant saw a moderate rise of Rs 23,900. With this update, the Hector Plus now starts at Rs 19.35 lakh and goes up to Rs 23.72 lakh (ex-showroom).

Within the MG Hector Plus petrol range, the Select Pro MT and Select Pro CVT in the 7-seater layout have seen the smallest uptick—Rs 25,500 and Rs 26,700 respectively. Move a step higher to the Sharp Pro trims, and prices have nudged up a bit more—Rs 28,100 for the manual and Rs 29,300 for the CVT.
But if your eyes are on the MG Hector Plus Savvy Pro CVT—whether 6- or 7-seater—be ready to shell out an additional Rs 30,400, that’s the steepest jump across the board.

The entry-level, Hector Plus Style Diesel MT sees the smallest jump at Rs 23,900, while the Select Pro Diesel MT climbs by Rs 28,200. Sitting at the top, the Sharp Pro Diesel MT now costs Rs 29,600 more.

Meanwhile, in the 6-seater layout, the Hector Plus Blackstorm and Snowstorm editions have also gone up by ₹29,900, now retailing at Rs 23.72 lakh (ex-showroom price).
