Upcoming Maruti Brezza facelift leaked before launch — Base & top variants spotted at dealerships

With the Maruti Suzuki Brezza facelift set to launch on July 24, dealer yard sightings have already revealed much of what buyers were waiting to know. Separate videos showing the entry-level and top-spec variants have surfaced online, offering a closer look at the SUV well before its official debut. 

Along with the recently leaked ARAI fuel efficiency figures and variant-wise engine details, these sightings paint a much clearer picture of the updated Brezza ahead of launch.

Upcoming Maruti Brezza facelift spotted — Two leaks, two different stories

The first sighting showed what appears to be the entry-level Brezza facelift arriving at a dealership on a transport truck. Riding on steel wheels, it is likely the base LXI variant. The video also offered the clearest look yet at the updated front design, featuring redesigned headlights, a new grille, and a revised front bumper with triangular fog lamp housings. It also suggests that lower variants will get halogen projector headlamps, while higher trims are expected to feature LED units.

A day later, another video surfaced showing what appears to be the top-spec variant parked at a dealership with both its exterior and interior clearly visible. More importantly, the sighting confirms the arrival of the new 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox, a powertrain combination that will be offered on the Brezza for the first time.

Reading the Upcoming Maruti Brezza facelift exterior details closely

The top-spec Brezza Facelift variant also reveals a few exclusive styling updates. It gets a gold-finished grille, giving it a different look over the lower variants, while the front bumper features a larger silver insert and a wider faux skid plate. Despite these changes, the overall shape of the SUV remains similar to the outgoing model.

On the sides, the upcoming Brezza facelift gets a new four-spoke alloy wheel design, replacing the current pattern. The rear design is yet to be seen clearly, but earlier spy shots suggest only minor updates at the back. Most of the visual changes appear to be concentrated at the front, with the biggest updates coming in the form of the new styling and powertrain options.

The top-spec Brezza facelift interior reveals some of the biggest updates. It gets a larger 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, similar to the one offered on the Maruti Victoris, with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. While the dashboard layout remains familiar, the climate control panel has been redesigned and now sits above a wireless phone charger.

The leaked images also show a new 6-speed manual gear lever and, for the first time, ventilated front seats on the Brezza. This is a notable addition, as ventilated seats have become a popular feature in this segment. Other features visible in the cabin include ambient lighting, a sunroof, an auto-dimming IRVM, cruise control, and a multi-information display.

Verifying the upcoming Maruti Brezza powertrain claims — what the mileage data shows

Earlier dealer leaks have also confirmed the arrival of the new 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine with a 6-speed manual gearbox. Separately, leaked ARAI fuel efficiency figures have revealed the claimed mileage of every powertrain that will be offered with the 2026 Brezza facelift.

The figures suggest the new 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine is slightly less fuel-efficient than the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. Depending on the variant, the difference ranges from around 0.6 kmpl to 0.85 kmpl. However, the turbo engine is expected to deliver noticeably better performance, making the small drop in fuel efficiency a reasonable trade-off for buyers looking for stronger drivability.

Separate reporting on the Brezza's finalised variant-powertrain matrix adds further clarity on how Maruti is structuring this lineup, and it reveals a deliberate strategy behind offering the turbo-petrol engine across the entire range rather than reserving it for higher trims only.

The biggest takeaway is that the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine will be available across all variants, from the LXI to the ZXI+. Buyers can choose between the naturally aspirated and turbo-petrol engines without having to move to a higher trim. If the turbo version proves more popular, Maruti could eventually replace the current 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine with it in the Brezza lineup.
