The Toyota Yaris is currently available in Accent, SX and ZR models and their variations, including hybrid (the hybrid motor recharges while it drives, meaning it doesn't have to be plugged in to charge).
All newer models have eight air bags and the ZR has head-up display, rear spoiler, sports front seats. Newer models also have Apple airplay, bluetooth connectivity, reversing camera, and more recently, accident avoidance technology.
The Yaris ZR Cross Hybrid, quite a different looking Yaris to its counterparts, has an elevated ride height for weekend off-roading and its own set of features.
All Yaris models have a 5-star ANCAP safety rating.
Yaris models all have 1.5L engines and get between 3.3L/km and 4.9l/km fuel economy around town. The ZR Hybrid Yaris is more powerful than the previous generation petrol Yaris, yet gets as low as 3.3L per 100km fuel consumption.
The Yaris was the first Toyota to feature the Pre-Collision Safety system now available in many Toyota models.
Yaris drivers appreciate the rear seats folding flat to fit more in the back.
If you're lucky enough, you might find a limited edition GRMN model sold only in Europe and Japan that was powered by a Lotus-tuned 1.8-litre supercharged four-cylinder engine with 156kW of power and 250Nm of torque. That's quick!
