Driving Test Procedure in Jaipur

The driving licence test in Jaipur, like everywhere else, is defined by the Motor Vehicle Act 1988. The DL test takes place at the RTO and a Motor Vehicle Inspector acts as the invigilator. The candidate has to use his own vehicle, which should be of the same category as the one for which the DL is required. If one doesn’t have the required vehicle, he can use the vehicle of the motor driving school.

Test for Two-Wheeler & Three-Wheeler:

In case of the driving licence test for a 2 or 3 wheeler, the applicant should ride his vehicle inside a border and make imaginary patterns of 8 without stalling the vehicle or touching his feet on the ground even once. On satisfying the invigilator with his riding skills, the applicant is asked to ride on a public road with the invigilator on the pillion seat.

Test for Four Wheeler

In principles, the driving licence test for 4-wheeler is the same as that for a 2 or 3-wheeler. The applicant has to first ride on a specially prepared track without coming in contact with the boundary. If satisfied, the invigilator next asks the applicant to drive on a public road, where his driving skills in real-world conditions are tested. Based on the performance, the applicant is marked failed or passed. On failing the DL test for a 4,3 or 2-wheeler, the applicant can appear in a re-test after paying the required fee after 7 days.
