Maruti eVitara price leaks ahead of official launch — Details inside!
- 1Maruti Suzuki e Vitara will be offered in three trims: Delta, Zeta and Alpha
- 2It’s available with two battery sizes: 49 kWh and 61 kWh
- 3Price is expected to range between Rs 16 lakh and Rs 25 lakh
The Maruti Vitara launch has been delayed since last year, but there’s hope it will happen this year, most likely in the first half. In the meantime, unofficial bookings have already started at select dealerships with a token amount of Rs 25,000.
Interestingly, amid all this, the Maruti eVitara ex-showroom price has surfaced, not from rumours but directly on the authorised dealer websites for the Alpha variant. Let’s take a deeper look at the Maruti eVitara price that has leaked and other updates around this model.
Maruti eVitara price leaked

The Maruti eVitara will come in three variants: Delta, Zeta, and Alpha. The Delta features a 49 kWh battery, while the Zeta and Alpha step up to a 61 kWh pack. A leaked quoted price from a dealership website listed the eVitara at Rs 24.79 lakh. On the surface, that figure raises questions because it seems unusually high compared with what one would expect from Maruti’s pricing strategy.
It’s unlikely that Maruti would price even the entry-level model above many of its established rivals. This suggests that the Rs 24.79 lakh figure probably applies to the top-end Alpha variant rather than the base model. Whether this leak is a glitch or an unintentional reveal, we can expect the overall price range to top out around Rs 25 lakh for the Alpha, while the base Delta variant could start somewhere between Rs 16 lakh and Rs 17 lakh.

The Maruti e-Vitara will come with two battery options: a 49 kWh pack and a 61 kWh pack. The smaller 49 kWh battery will produce 144PS and 189Nm of torque, enough for your everyday city drives and weekend trips. The larger 61 kWh version will deliver 174PS, with the 2WD model at 189Nm, while the AWD variant will increase torque to 300Nm.
Earlier, Maruti had mentioned the inclusion of a Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) strategy with the eVitara. This is particularly interesting, as it will allow buyers to either purchase the SUV outright or opt for subscription and BaaS options. That means you can enjoy an electric SUV without worrying about long-term commitments or battery concerns. MG tried something similar with the Windsor EV, and Maruti is also joining the shows.
