Outline

Skoda has been building toward this reveal for some time, and on 4 June 2026 it finally gave the world its first proper look at the Peaq. Exterior production sketches of the all-new electric seven-seater flagship have been officially released, and they confirm a design that is both distinctly Skoda and a clear step forward for the brand into the battery electric era. The world premiere will take place in Monnetier-Mornex, France, at 18:25 on 23 June 2026.

This is also a nameplate milestone. The Peaq becomes Skoda's first SUV that does not start with the letter K, breaking the naming convention the brand has followed with the Karoq, Kodiaq, Kamiq, Kushaq, Kylaq, and others. That alone signals that Skoda is treating the Peaq as something categorically different from the rest of the lineup.

All-new Skoda Peaq exterior — What the sketches show

Skoda Peaq

The all-new Skoda Peaq design sketches show a large SUV based on Skoda's Modern Solid design language. At the front, the SUV features slim T-shaped headlights connected by a gloss-black Tech-Deck Face panel. A connecting light element creates a distinctive loop-like signature, while the Volcano-shaped bumper and strong horizontal lines add visual presence.

From the side, the new Skoda Peaq gets a high shoulder line, wide D-pillars, sculpted body panels, and flush door handles that help improve both design cleanliness and aerodynamics. At the rear, T-shaped tail-lights and a connecting element mirror the front-end loop motif, giving the SUV a consistent design identity. A teaser video released alongside the sketches also reveals aero-style wheels, pop-out door handles, and an interior layout that appears to be inspired by the current Skoda Kodiaq.

Skoda Peaq confirmed specifications and what to expect

Skoda has confirmed that the Peaq will measure in at 4.9 metres in length with a wheelbase of 2.95 metres, making it a genuinely large SUV. It will be offered in both six-seat and seven-seat configurations. Battery options are expected to deliver a claimed range of between 460 and 600 km, which would put the Peaq comfortably in the territory of premium European electric SUVs. A Sportline variant has been confirmed alongside the standard version.

The feature set is expected to closely mirror the Kodiaq's, given the shared platform direction and Skoda's approach to its model family.

Does the Skoda Peaq have a future in India?

The Peaq will not arrive in India immediately, but it may set the stage for what follows. If Skoda adopts a top-down approach to its EV strategy in India, as it has with the Kodiaq for its ICE range, the Peaq could play a similar flagship role before a localised, Kushaq-sized EV arrives later, potentially around 2028. That larger EV, built on a localised architecture, is widely expected to be Skoda's real volume bet in India's electric segment.
