Toyota Kirloskar Motor has launched the all-new Toyota Hilux in India, introducing the pickup's ninth generation to the market. The new-gen Hilux gets a redesigned exterior, a more powerful diesel engine, and an updated list of comfort and safety features. Prices start at Rs 31.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Bookings open on 28 July 2026, while deliveries will begin in the second week of August.

The all-new Toyota Hilux is offered across three variants, spanning both 4x2 and 4x4 drivetrain configurations, all paired with an automatic transmission as standard.

The entry point into the range is the 4X2 GX AT, which brings rear-wheel drive at the lowest price point, while the 4X4 GX AT adds four-wheel drive capability for a little over Rs 1.7 lakh more. At the top of the range, the 4X4 VX AT adds a fuller equipment list, including exclusive access to two of the six available exterior colours, for Rs 36.69 lakh, ex-showroom.
9th-gen Toyota Hilux design
The new Toyota Hilux adopts Toyota's "Tough & Agile" design language, with a front-end inspired by the company's "Cyber Sumo" theme. It features a large honeycomb grille, sculpted bonnet, and a more upright stance.

Exterior highlights include a redesigned front bumper with piano black accents, LED headlamps with a welcome function, LED daytime running lights, LED fog lamps, LED tail lamps, electrically adjustable and retractable ORVMs, alloy wheels, and a shark-fin antenna. Toyota has also added several functional upgrades, including hexagonal side steps with a honeycomb-pattern tread, an integrated rear bed step, a tailgate assist system, and a satin silver front underrun. The Hilux also offers a 700 mm water wading depth.
2026 Toyota Hilux colour options
The all-new Toyota Hilux is available in six exterior colours: Super White, Platinum Pearl White Metallic, Attitude Black+, Emotional Red, and two newly introduced shades, Sulphur Metallic and Ash. However, Sulphur Metallic and Attitude Black+ are reserved exclusively for the range-topping VX 4X4 grade.
2026 Toyota Hilux engine, Transmission and off-road hardware
The new Toyota Hilux is powered by a 2.8-litre BS6 Phase 2 four-cylinder diesel engine producing 204 PS and 500 Nm of torque. It is paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission across all three variants and comes with an 80-litre fuel tank.

The 4x4 GX AT and 4x4 VX AT variants feature a four-wheel-drive system with High (H4) and Low (L4) range, controlled through a rotary dial. Off-road equipment includes an electronic differential lock, traction control, electronic drive control, multi-terrain select with modes for gravel, snow, sand, and rocks, and downhill assist control.
The Hilux also gets an Auto Limited Slip Differential (Auto LSD), a double wishbone front suspension, a leaf spring rear suspension, ventilated front disc brakes, rear drum brakes, and 265/65 R17 alloy wheels with a matching full-size steel spare. Hydraulic engine mounts and additional body mounting points are also part of the package.
New Toyota Hilux cabin, features, and connectivity
Inside, the Toyota Hilux gets a soft-touch dashboard with metallic accents, an adjustable steering wheel with tilt and telescopic functions, 60:40 split-folding rear seats, and multiple storage spaces, including a centre console, upper glovebox, and large cup holders.
Features include smart entry with push-button start, wireless phone charging, cruise control, a rear armrest with cupholders, drive modes (Eco, Normal, and Sport), and PM2.5 air filtration on the top-spec VX variant. The 2026 Hilux is equipped with a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system on the GX 4X4 AT and VX 4X4 AT variants, while the 4X2 GX AT gets an 8-inch unit. Both support wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Other highlights include a 7-inch instrument cluster, steering-mounted controls, and an 8-speaker audio system on higher variants, while the base model gets 4 speakers.
Toyota's i-Connect connected car suite adds features such as remote vehicle functions, theft alerts, vehicle tracking, vehicle status monitoring, and trip insights through a smartphone app.

The Toyota Hilux comes with 7 airbags as standard across the range. Other safety features include vehicle stability control, ABS with brake assist, emergency brake signal, ISOFIX child seat mounts, front seatbelts with pretensioners and force limiters, speed-sensing auto door locks, and an anti-theft alarm.
The pickup is built on Toyota's Global Outstanding Assessment (GOA) body structure. It also gets a panoramic view monitor, front and rear parking sensors, and a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), with a direct tyre pressure display available on higher variants.
Toyota Hilux genuine accessories and personalisation
Toyota is offering a range of genuine accessories for the Hilux, including 3D floor mats, illuminated scuff plates, fuel lid garnish, hood garnish, side moulding, chrome side visors, black-painted door mirror housings for the double-cab variant, and a welcome door lamp that projects the Hilux logo onto the ground. Buyers can also opt for headlamp garnish, door garnish kits, and additional side protective mouldings.
Ownership and dealer network
Toyota is offering the Hilux with its T-Care ownership programme, which includes services such as TDeliver, TAssist, TSecure, TSmile, TGloss, TInspect, TSparsh, TServ, TSaath, TChoice, TClub, and TShield.
The pickup is covered by a 3-year/1,00,000 km warranty. Owners also get access to Toyota Trust for used vehicle services, Toyota Financial Services, Toyota Mobility Service for fleet and leasing solutions, and the Toyota i-Connect connected car platform. Toyota's sales and service network now spans more than 1,400 touchpoints across over 900 cities in India (as of 30 June 2026).
