Maruti Suzuki has been India’s bestselling automaker for as far as one can remember. The Wagon R sits on top of the charts, pushing the Ertiga to the fourth spot as the Dzire climbs to second, in terms of cumulative sales over the last six months. The popular Swift is now moved to the fifth spot whereas the Fronx has moved to sixth position. Here’s a list of the best selling Maruti Suzuki cars in India over the past six months, including the data for May 2025.

Maruti Suzuki Wagon R

The Maruti Wagon R has climbed up to become the most selling Maruti car in India, as per the above data. Celebrating its 25th anniversary, this tallboy was able to gather 1,05,797 units of sales over the last six months, averaging around 17,632 cars a month.

Maruti Suzuki Dzire

The Maruti Suzuki Dzire makes a surprise entry to the top five list, securing second position in the last six month sales. Maruti Suzuki sold a total of 97,190 units of the Dzire, a considerable portion of which comes from the Tour S model, which was recently introduced. 

Maruti Suzuki Brezza

The Maruti Brezza slips to the third spot, selling 96,558 units over the last six months. This translates to around 16,093 units per month. The Brezza comes with a 1.5-litre K-series petrol engine producing 103PS of power and 137Nm of peak torque. There’s also an option of a factory-fitted CNG kit. 

Maruti Suzuki Ertiga

The Maruti Ertiga had been on the top of the ladder for quite a while, but it has now been pushed to the fourth spot, selling 93,896 units over the past six months. Popular Maruti Ertiga rivals include Renault Triber, Toyota Rumion, Kia Carens and Maruti Suzuki XL6.

Maruti Suzuki Swift

Maruti Swift secured the fifth spot in the list of top selling Maruti cars in India, kicking out the Maruti Fronx. Maruti Suzuki sold 90,244 units of the Swift over the past six months, averaging at roughly 15,040 units a month.
