The Toyota Hilux has always been in a league of its own in India. Recently, Toyota has increased the ex-showroom prices of the Hilux across three of its four variants in India. The High MT and High AT see the steepest jump. The only variant left untouched is the Hilux Black Edition diesel AT, which continues at Rs 35.85 lakh ex-showroom.

All prices ex-showroom pan India. New prices effective April 2026.

The Toyota Hilux top variants take the biggest hit at Rs 62,700 each, whether you are going with the manual or the automatic. The STD variant sees a slightly smaller but still significant jump of just under Rs 50,000. And importantly, the Black Edition is the one variant that Toyota has chosen not to touch this time around.

The High MT and High AT being hiked by the same amount makes sense because they share the same core feature set with only the gearbox as a differentiator. The STD is more restrained in its hike likely because Toyota wants to keep an accessible entry point into the Hilux family.

Toyota Hilux Black Edition stays put

The Toyota Hilux Black Edition is based on the High AT and adds an all-black exterior treatment with black alloy wheels, black grille accents, black ORVMs and door handles. It is a special edition and Toyota has likely kept the price stable to maintain its appeal as a distinct proposition in the lineup.

At Rs 35.85 lakh the Black Edition now actually costs Rs 15,000 less than the standard High AT after the hike. That is not a logical gap Toyota intended to create. It suggests the Black Edition pricing may be reviewed in a future update or that Toyota is using it as a traffic driver for buyers sitting on the fence between the standard High AT and the special edition.
