The updated Tata Nexon EV has been around for just about a year now, since its launch on September 14th last year. While it's not exactly a newcomer, it’s established itself quite well in the market. But in the ever-evolving automotive world, new competitors are always popping up. This time, the spotlight is on the all-new MG Windsor EV, which has recently made a splash with its unique battery rental package and aggressive pricing. So, what happens when these two electric vehicles go head-to-head? While I can’t show you a live comparison, I can provide a detailed comparison between the two in this article. Read on to learn how these two models stack up against each other and where they each have their advantages.

Its prices start at Rs 12.49 lakh (ex-showroom price) and can go up to Rs 16.24 lakh (ex-showroom price). On the other hand, the MG Windsor EV offers a more limited range with just three variants: Excite, Exclusive, and Essence. Although it doesn’t have as many trims, it starts at a more budget-friendly introductory price of Rs 9.99 lakh.
Which EV offers more power?
Specs | Tata Nexon EV (30 kWh) | Tata Nexon EV (40.5 kWh) | MG Windsor EV |
Battery Capacity | 30 kWh | 40.5 kWh | 38 kWh |

When comparing power and range, the Tata Nexon EV and MG Windsor EV offer different options. The Tata Nexon EV comes with two battery options: 30 kWh and 40.5 kWh, which provide ranges of 325 km and 465 km, respectively. This gives customers the flexibility to choose a battery that suits their needs. On the other hand, the Windsor EV has a single 38 kWh battery with a range of 331 km.
If you’re looking for a vehicle with a larger battery and more range, the Nexon EV might be the better choice. However, the Windsor EV also offers good performance. One thing to keep in mind with the MG is that you’ll need to pay extra for the battery usage over time. The cost is Rs 3.5 per km, so if you drive 1,500 km, you'll pay Rs 5,250 just for the battery. So, while MG provides a competitive range, it’s important to consider these additional costs when making your decision.
