Hyundai has started to lose its ground to other manufacturers like Tata and Mahindra, with the three fighting for market share. It’s the Creta that is helping Hyundai hold its ground, with other products in its portfolio not doing that well. Here’s a list of the best selling Hyundai cars in India over the past six months, including the latest data for September 2025.

Hyundai Creta
Hyundai Creta is, unsurprisingly, Hyundai’s best selling car if we look at the data from the last six months. The Creta accounts for about a third share in HMIL’s sales in India, averaging at about 16,557 units a month. Just to put things in perspective, Skoda India sold 36,217 cars in the past six months, including sales of all its five models!

Hyundai Venue
Hyundai Venue has also been doing its part in getting revenue for the South Korean carmaker. Hyundai sold 49,978 units of the Venue over the past six months, averaging at about 8,330 units monthly. Hyundai Venue rivals include Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV 3XO, Nissan Magnite and Maruti Suzuki Brezza.
Hyundai Exter
Averaging at around 5,495 units a month, the Hyundai Exter was the third most selling Hyundai car in India over the past six months. This tall hatchback is powered by a 1.2-litre petrol engine that comes paired with a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT. There’s also an option for a factory-fitted CNG option.
Hyundai Aura
The Hyundai Aura has replaced the Hyundai i20 in the list of the highest selling Hyundai cars in India. The automaker sold 30,221 units of the Aura over the last six months, averaging at almost 5,037 units per month. Key Hyundai Aura rivals include the Maruti Dzire, Honda Amaze, and Tata Tigor.

Hyundai Grand i10 Nios
The Hyundai Grand i10 Nios came fifth in the list of the top selling Hyundai cars in India. Hyundai sold 24,424 units of the Grand i10 Nios over the last six months, averaging at 4,071 units per month. Just like the Exter, the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios is powered by a 1.2-litre petrol engine and also comes with the option of a factory-fitted CNG kit.
Hyundai Alcazar
Sitting in sixth place, the Hyundai Alcazar recorded 6,953 units sold over the past six months, averaging about 1,159 sales a month. The facelift launched last year brought noticeable design updates and a refreshed feature list, but Hyundai chose to retain the same engine options — the 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine and the 1.5-litre diesel engine.
Hyundai Verna
Hyundai Verna sales were 5,070 units in the last six months, averaging 845 a month. It comes with a 1.5-litre petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. The sedan faces tough competition from Maruti Ciaz and Honda City.
Hyundai Tucson
Ranked ninth in sales, the Hyundai Tucson holds its place as a premium SUV in the brand’s lineup. Over the past six months, it sold 424 units, averaging 71 per month. It’s powered by a 2.0-litre petrol and a 2.0-litre diesel engine, both paired with smooth automatic transmissions.
Hyundai Ioniq 5
Hyundai Ioniq 5 sales were 84 units, averaging 14 per month. It is fully electric with dual motor and single motor options. It gets few buyers, mainly due to the high price and low EV demand.
