Out of Toyota’s five top selling cars in India over the past six months, three are built-Toyotas, two are badge-engineered Maruti Suzukis, and one has been jointly developed by the two OEMs. Doesn’t add up? Toyota Innova

The Innova was Toyota’s most selling brand over the past six months, selling a total of 53,589 cars. To clear the confusion, this includes the sale of both Toyota Innova Crysta and Toyota Innova Hycross. The Innova Hycross is essentially the next generation of the Innova Crysta, with both models being sold alongside each other.

Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder

The Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder has been jointly developed by Toyota and Maruti Suzuki. Toyota sold 45,199 units of the Hyryder over the last six months, averaging at around 7,533 units monthly. For reference, its sister car, the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, garnered 37,993 units of sales over the same period.
Toyota Glanza

Toyota Glanza, Toyota’s rebadged version of the hot-selling Maruti Suzuki Baleno, gathered 25,243 units of sales for the Japanese carmaker. During the same period, MSIL sold a staggering 72,089 Balenos, which is almost three times of what Toyota did!
Toyota Fortuner

There’s no way around a Toyota Fortuner. Claiming the fourth spot on the list of top-selling Toyota cars in India, the Fortuner gathered 16,742 units of sales for the company. This is despite the popular Toyota SUV being outrageously priced. The Fortuner starts at Rs 33.64 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). But be careful, this might change the next time you visit this page.

Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor

Toyota Taisor, a.k.a. Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor, a.k.a. rebadged Maruti Suzuki Fronx, garnered 14,531 units of sales, pushing it to the fifth spot on this list. This translates to an average of exactly 2,421 units a month.
Toyota Rumion

The Toyota Rumion registered a total of 7,267 units in sales over the last six months, averaging around 1,211 units per month. Although not as high-volume as some of Toyota’s other models, it caters to a niche segment and complements the brand’s compact SUV and MPV offerings.
Toyota Hilux

The Toyota Hilux clocked 219 units in September 2025, contributing to its six-month total of 1,865 units. Averaging around 311 units per month, this pickup remains a niche product, designed for those who prioritize durability and off-road capability over everyday practicality.
Toyota Camry

The premium sedan Camry has seen sales totaling 1,042 units between April and September, with an average monthly sale of approximately 174 units. Despite being a niche offering in India, it holds importance for Toyota’s luxury aspirations.
Toyota Vellfire

Toyota’s luxury MPV, the Vellfire, registered 107 units in September 2025, with a six‑month tally of 596 units. With an average of about 99 units monthly, this model caters to elite customers who demand the pinnacle of comfort, technology, and exclusivity on the road.
Toyota Land Cruiser

Lastly, the iconic Land Cruiser, with a sales count of 42 units in six months, averages 7 units per month. As a luxury off-roader imported as a CBU, its sales are understandably low but maintain Toyota’s presence in the premium SUV segment.
