Kia has increased prices of the Sonet in June 2026, with 1.2-litre petrol, 1.0-litre turbo-petrol and 1.5-litre diesel variants becoming costlier by up to Rs 1,700. The revision affects multiple trims across the range, from the HTE to the GTX+ and X-Line, although the overall hike remains fairly minor.

The Kia Sonet's 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine is a 4-cylinder unit that develops 83PS and 115Nm of torque, paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox. Kia has increased the prices of all Sonet 1.2 petrol variants in June 2026. The HTE and HTE(O) trims are now dearer by Rs 1,600, while the HTK(O), HTK+, and HTK+(O) variants have received a slightly higher hike of Rs 1,700.

 

Following the revision, prices for the 1.2 petrol range now start at Rs 7.33 lakh for the HTE and go up to Rs 9.64 lakh for the HTK+(O) (all prices ex-showroom).

The Kia Sonet's 1.0-litre turbo-petrol range has received a uniform price hike of Rs 1,700 across all affected variants. This includes the HTK(O), HTK+(O), HTX, GTX+, and X-Line trims across their respective ACMT and DCT transmission options.

 

Powering the Kia Sonet turbo-petrol range is a 1.0-litre 3-cylinder engine that develops 120PS and 172Nm, paired with either a 6-speed iMT or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission (DCT).

The Sonet’s 1.5-litre diesel engine continues to produce 116PS and 250Nm of torque and is available with manual, iMT, and automatic gearbox options. The latest price revision has impacted several diesel variants, with hikes ranging between Rs 1,600 and Rs 1,700. While the HTE(O) trim is now dearer by Rs 1,600, the HTK(O), HTK+, HTK+(O), HTX, and GTX+ variants have witnessed a price increase of Rs 1,700.
