The Renault Bridger concept has finally broken cover, giving us the first real look at the brand’s upcoming sub-four-metre SUV. The model is being designed and developed in India, and production will also happen locally. With the project centred on the Indian market, Renault plans to shape the Bridger around local needs.
Renault Bridger concept design
At the front, the Renault Bridger concept features an upright face with a flat bonnet that flows into a wide, glossy black grille panel spanning nearly the entire width, with illuminated RENAULT lettering across the centre. On both sides are angular headlamp housings integrated into the grille, each with a slim horizontal LED strip at the top and two diagonal LED light blades below that angle inward.

Below the grille sits a narrow horizontal trim line separating the lighting section from the bumper, and beneath it, the lower bumper includes a large rectangular air intake with a deep block-pattern mesh for airflow. Further down, you can see the silver underbelly skid plate.
From the side, this concept SUV has a profile with a flat roofline and a strong shoulder line running across the body. The body panels are mostly smooth with sharp-edged wheel arches finished in dark cladding. The concept features large geometric alloy wheels, short front and rear overhangs and a slightly rising beltline toward the rear. The side mirrors, roof, and pillars are finished in black, creating a two-tone contrast with the champagne-gold body.

At the rear of this concept from Renault, the design is equally upright and boxy with flat panels and sharp edges. A full-size spare wheel is mounted on the tailgate featuring a large multi-spoke alloy with the Renault emblem and a Michelin tire. Next to it, the BRIDGER CONCEPT badge sits on the body panel, while on the outer corner, a vertical taillight cluster is set within a dark geometric frame, containing two thick illuminated LED bars angled slightly inward.

Renault Bridger interior space
The interior of the Renault Bridger was not shown when the concept debuted. Even so, Renault says the SUV will place a strong focus on cabin space despite its sub-four-metre size.
Rear knee room will measure around 200 mm, which Renault says will be class-leading.

The Renault Bridge Boot space will stand at 400 litres. That will put it ahead of the Kia Syros, which offers about 390 litres and currently leads the segment. Other compact SUVs are close but still behind. The Kia Sonet provides around 385 litres, while the Tata Nexon offers roughly 382 litres. If those numbers hold, the Bridger will sit at the top of the segment for boot space.
