Tata Curvv EV SeriesX launched at Rs 16.99 lakh — 55 kWh battery now more affordable than ever

Tata Motors has launched the Tata Curvv EV SeriesX in India. It is a new variant line with Accomplished X 55 and Empowered X 55, along with a #DARK edition of the Empowered X. It makes the 55 kWh battery version more affordable, starting at Rs 16.99 lakh.

Earlier, the 55 kWh Curvv EV started at Rs 19.25 lakh. This brings the price down by about Rs 2.25 lakh. The SeriesX still offers a good feature list, a claimed 502 km range, and a lifetime battery warranty. For buyers considering the Curvv EV, this makes the entry point more accessible.

2026 Tata Curvv EV SeriesX design

The Tata Curvv EV keeps the same SUV coupe design in the SeriesX variants. There are no changes to the exterior. The sloping roofline and overall shape remain the same. The only addition is the new Nitro Crimson colour. Inside, the cabin layout is also unchanged. The focus of SeriesX is on pricing and variants, not on design updates.

Tata Curvv EV SeriesX features — What the Accomplished X 55 & Empowered X 55 gets

The Tata Curvv EV Accomplished X 55 is the entry variant in the SeriesX range. It gets a panoramic sunroof, dual 10.25-inch screens with navigation, and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. It also offers a 360-degree camera with blind spot view. Comfort features include ventilated seats, leatherette upholstery, and rear sunshades.

The Empowered X 55 builds on this with more premium features. It gets a larger 12.3-inch touchscreen, a JBL 9-speaker sound system, and Level 2 ADAS with multiple features. It also adds a powered driver seat, reclining rear seats, 18-inch alloy wheels, a powered tailgate, and lighting animations. It also comes with V2L and V2V functions and a frunk. The #DARK edition adds a blacked-out design for an extra cost.

2026 Tata Curvv EV SeriesX battery specs 

All SeriesX variants of the Tata Curvv EV use a 55 kWh battery on Tata’s acti.ev platform. The motor makes 167 PS and 215 Nm, which is enough for daily use and highway drives. The claimed range is 502 km, while real-world range is around 400 km. This puts it ahead of many rivals in this price range. It also supports DC fast charging, which helps on longer trips.

Lifetime battery warranty

One of the most talked-about aspects of the SeriesX is the lifetime HV battery warranty. It applies to all 55 kWh variants, including the SeriesX. However, "lifetime" here is defined in the fine print: it covers a period of 15 years from the first date of registration for the first owner, in accordance with the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988. Terms and conditions apply. This is one of the longest battery warranties in India and helps reduce concerns about battery life over time.
