French automobile manufacturer, Bugatti, sells cars that offer premium and luxurious
features on their high-performance sports vehicles. The company was founded in
1909 and only recently made itself available for purchase in India. While all the
models in their lineup carry a heavy price tag, that hasn’t stopped enthusiasts
from making one of Bugatti’s beasts their own in the country. There are a total
of 3 Bugatti cars on offer in India and we take a look at what they have to
offer here.
Bugatti Veyron
The Bugatti Veyron was originally launched in 2005 and was
then, the fastest car in the world. Powering the vehicle is an 8.0L
Quad-Turbocharged W16 petrol engine that produces 1001bhp and 1250Nm of torque
with a top speed of 407kmph. The engine is mated to a 7-speed automatic
transmission that also features 4-Wheel-Drive. With so much power behind the
Veyron, it can reach 0-100kmph in just 2.7 seconds. Being one of the fastest
cars in the world, the Veyron also comes fitted with some extraordinary safety
features such as front and side-impact beams, crash sensors, driver and
passenger-side airbags, traction control, and engine immobilizer. The interiors
of the Veyron, like all Bugatti’s is luxurious, modern, and loaded with
high-end equipment.
Taking over from the Veyron, the Bugatti Chiron is probably
one of the most used cars in the
French carmaker’s lineup. Although the Chiron sports a new design on the
outside, the insides are pretty much the same as is found on its predecessor.
Under the hood, the Chiron houses the same 8.0L Quad-Turbocharged W16 petrol
engine that is mated to a 7-speed automatic gearbox and produces a higher
1479bhp and 1600Nm of torque. This allows the Chiron to reach maximum speeds of
420kmph and is capable of going from 0-100kmph I about 2.5 seconds only. The
car comes with all the same safety features found on the Veyron and also boasts
some newer technology including a touchscreen infotainment system, a digital
dashboard, and integrated 2DIN Audio with speakers in the front as well as in
the rear.
Coming fresh out of the factories in France, the Divo is Bugatti’s latest and greatest model yet. The car is a true performer and is a lot more powerful than its predecessors – the Chiron and the Veyron. While the Divo does feature the same powertrain found on both previous models, it does not have a top speed of over 400kmph, instead, it is set at 380kmph. But don’t let that fool you as the Divo has been clocked at 8 seconds faster than the Chiron on a racing circuit in Italy. Powering the racing beast is an 8.0L Quad-Turbocharged W16 petrol engine that offers 1600Nm of torque and 1479bhp. It is capable of going form 0-100kmph in 2.4 seconds which is faster than both the Veyron and the Chiron. In transmission, the Divo is fitted with a 7-speed automatic gearbox that has All-Wheel-Drive capabilities for better control. Although the Divo is a super luxurious vehicle with a hefty price tag, a second hand car valuation toolcan be used to get the best deal on your car and bring the cost down, albeit by just a bit. The interiors and features are almost identical to what can be found on the Chiron with some minor upgrades in the technology department.
