Upcoming Bugatti Cars in India 2021-21

If you are reading this, you are probably familiar with the name Bugatti. The French car manufacturer was founded back in 1909 but is still popularly known for its premier sports cars even today. Bugatti cars are known for two things – design and speed – and that is exactly what you get when you choose to invest in one of the available models. Originally designed as race cars, some of the best-known Bugatti cars include the Type 35 Grand Prix, the Type 57 “Atlantic”, and the Type 41 “Royale”. Today, Bugatti designs and sells super-luxurious sports cars that might be considered illegal in some countries. Here is a look at the upcoming Bugatti cars in India as well as a couple that is already in the market.

MODELPRICE
Bugatti ChironRs. 21.21 Crore (Expected)
Bugatti VeyronRs. 12.00 Crore
Bugatti DivoRs. 41.00 Crore

Bugatti Chiron

Engine8.0L Quad-Turbocharged W16 Petrol
Transmission7-Speed Automatic
Top Speed420Kmph
0-100 Kmph2.5 Seconds
Expected Launch2nd February 2022

The Chiron from Bugatti was set to launch in India last year, but the pandemic and the restrictions that followed made it impossible to do so. Fortunately, Bugatti has set an approximate date for when the supercar will be available in the country. The expected launch date is set for the 2nd of February, 2022 and people are already getting excited about it. However, with a price tag that is expected to be somewhere in the range of Rs. 21 Crore, we can expect only a handful to hit Indian roads. The car is the successor to the worldwide famous and most used car in their lineup, the Bugatti Veyron, which only tells us that the Chiron offers a lot more. The first thing we look at is the impressive 8.0L Quad-Turbocharged W16 petrol engine that offers a mind-blowing 1600Nm of torque and 1500PS of power. The 7993cc engine is mated to a 7-speed automatic transmission and delivers a top speed of 420kmph with an acceleration of 0-100kmph in just 2.5 seconds. With all that power, it is only obvious that the Chiron has a mileage of 5.95 kmpl.

On the outside, the Chiron features adjustable headlamps along with fog lamps for the front and rear. The automatic rain-sensing wipers help you stay focused on what’s important – driving. The rear window defogger ensures that your line of sight is never impeded on cold, foggy, or rainy days. The inside of the car is just as impressive as it comes with posh leather seats, a leather steering wheel, an outside temperature display, a digital clock, adjustable and heated driver seats, air conditioners and heaters, automatic climate control, parking sensors, cruise control, and a digital instrument cluster. Some of the other features found on the Chiron are keyless entry, push-button start and stop, gearshift paddles, anti-lock braking, anti-theft alarm, front airbags, front and side-impact beams, crash sensor, and hill descent control.

Bugatti Veyron

Engine8.0L Quad-Turbocharged W16 Petrol
Transmission7-Speed Automatic
Top Speed407 Kmph
0-100 Kmph2.5 Seconds

The Bugatti Veyron was originally launched in 2005 and was then, the fastest car in the world. Powering the vehicle is an 8.0L Quad-Turbocharged W16 petrol engine that produces 1001bhp and 1250Nm of torque with a top speed of 407kmph. The engine is mated to a 7-speed automatic transmission that also features 4-Wheel-Drive. With so much power behind the Veyron, it can reach 0-100kmph in just 2.5 seconds. Being one of the fastest cars in the world, the Veyron also comes fitted with some extraordinary safety features such as front and side-impact beams, crash sensors, driver and passenger-side airbags, traction control, and engine immobilizer. The interiors of the Veyron, like all Bugatti’s, are luxurious, modern, and loaded with high-end equipment.

Bugatti Divo

Engine8.0L Quad-Turbocharged W16 Petrol
Transmission7-Speed Automatic
Top Speed380 Kmph
0-100 Kmph2.4 Seconds

The Bugatti Divo is the company’s most expensive car and currently sits at 41.0 Crore in the Indian market. Unfortunately, there were only 40 units produced across the globe and all have been sold out. There is no set date from Bugatti as to if and when they would release more, but the car is definitely worth every penny. Under the hood, the Divo is fitted with the same 8.0L Quad-Turbocharged W16 petrol engine found on the Bugatti Chiron. It is attached to the same 7-speed automatic transmission and offers the same torque and power as its close cousin. The difference between the Divo and Chiron is that while the engine pushes the Chiron to a maximum speed of 420 kmph, the Divo is only capable of reaching a speed of 380 kmph – which is still a lot faster than most of the cars available today. Nevertheless, the Divo is a much better performer on the track as it came in 8 seconds faster than the Chiron at an Italian circuit. The Divo houses a massive 100-liter fuel tank and has an acceleration of 0-100kmph in 2.4 seconds – a fraction faster than the Chiron.

In terms of exteriors, the Divo has a larger grille that extends over the entire front of the car and creates a smaller bumper for added speed. There are air dams cut into the front, on the hood, and on the doors for better circulation to help keep the engine cool at such high speeds. Some of the key features offered by the Bugatti Divo are fog lights, driver and passenger airbags, leather seats, a leather steering wheel, automatic climate control, heated seats, air conditioning, and an anti-lock braking system.

As you can already tell, Bugatti is a very premium and luxurious car brand that believes in one-of-a-kind vehicles. They do not produce budget-friendly models and neither do they produce large quantities of their cars because they want buyers to feel like they own something rare and special. This is what sets some of the most luxurious brands apart from the rest and Bugatti knows how to do it well. So, which of these cars listed here is your dream car?

While Bugatti has not announced any upcoming models for India, we can’t wait to see what they have to offer the world in the coming years. The cars might be extremely expensive, but with a used car evaluation tool, you can save some cash by getting the best deal on your cars today. So, will you be getting your RC transfer ready anytime soon or will you eagerly (and most likely, uselessly) wait for a budget-friendly model from the company?
